Alright, I have a doubleshot and a Secret Shot 2 that are both broken and I need a bit of help with repairs. The doubleshot is a friend's and I'm worried about fixing, the Secret Shot I'm not too worried about, but I'd like to get it fixed anyway.

The problems...

A friend of mine likes doubleshots, we play indoors and during our last war one of the barrels stopped working. The other one acts like it has seen an increase in power, and the other one doesn't even dry fire. No release in air, at all. Any idea what is wrong? I didn't want to open it up without some idea how to fix it or replace the broken parts. It isn't mine, so I don't want to completely kill it.

The Secret Shot 2 doesn't really have anything wrong with it but a seal leak. I'm not experienced with things like that, so I couldn't fix it. Any Ideas?

You can't really figure out what's wrong with it unless you open it.

Also, seal leak. Try and be a little more descriptive. do you just need to relube an O-ring? Be a little more descriptive please.

I get all giddy when I see VACC browsing a stupid topic. I just know someone is going to get banned.

I'm guessing one of the strings leading to one of the PT's broke inside the DS. It should be as simple as cutting some off, and reconnecting the ropes with new rope as well as making some bulbous knots.

I figured it was a common problem, Apparently this is the second one he had that quit like this. The last one he tried to fix himself and screwed it up. I wanted to get a opinion on what it was before I opened up this one. That way it was less likely to fall in the same pile as the last one.

I lubed the system, it didn't help. The seal is leaking in the barrel. It leaks very fast. It will lose a pump in less than ten seconds.

I bet I know how to fix the doubleshot. This happened to mine, and I figured out that the hose that went from the plunger tube to the part that seals with the shells was broken. The nub that the hose went over on the plunger tube snapped off. So I just fixed it with some hot glue and it works fine now.

Later, one of the posts that held the string broke, but I fixed that too. I just have to prime it by pulling a string on the back.

Thats what I was afraid of. Any idea how to fix it? A simple fix would be appreciated, I don't have much experience modding.

You simply have to open it, remove the plunger assembly, and put a ring of glue around the part where it's broken. Once that dries, put more around it for additional support.

Thanks.

I'd have tried something myself before asking, but since it isn't my gun...I wanted to be careful.
