a device that automatically loads a new piece of ammo into a barrel or chamber is NOT a clip. It is a magazine. The clip is a small rack of ammo used to load the magazine. Not to be critical, but i wanted to clear up this common misperception. And this thread was the handiest place for it. I would suggest sheet metal for a magazine. I am working on a magazine that loads via a breech handle.

Not to be critical, but I believe you mean 'misconception'.Not to be critical, but i wanted to clear up this common misperception.
Anyways, making a magazine can be easy, or very complicated. People make them out of wood most of the time. It depends on whether your gun will be spring fed or gravity fed. This will help when deciding what material to use.
Not in the game anymore, but it was great while it lasted. Thanks for the great years of fun, NH!

How do you make a gravity fed magazine?People make them out of wood most of the time. It depends on whether your gun will be spring fed or gravity fed. This will help when deciding what material to use.

He sorta nailed that one.You put it on top of the gun...
That IS the basic idea, isn't it ?
Is it not so blunty obvious that a gravity fed magazine would be powered by gravity, a downward pulling force? Well, it doesn't pull down, but inwards, but it appears down from where we are on the surface of the earth.
Anyways, yes, gravity fed it much easier to make.

Well, maybe just maybe... because you are.thanks for the info.
just one question. why does everyone think im buckbogey
Stop obsessing about it. If you didn't act like you did, maybe Cxwq wouldn't have revealed you to us. By asking this question in two threads, you are just further instilling the belief that you are this 'buckbogey'.
Cxwq knows everyone's IP address. He knows yours. He knows you made your 'BlueIce' account on the same IP as your 'buckbogey' acccount.
Don't say you are a friend who registered on his computer either, no one will buy it. If you really aren't him, 'buck' would've replied by now in his own thread. But he hasn't, and don't go running back to that old account and post in that topic, it's dead.
Let's get back onto the topic of clips and magazines.
I see some very good ideas here, although I don't know what works, and what doesn't, mostly because I don't have a gun that uses clips. I know that wood and sheet metal are good materials to use, because they are easily shaped and such.
I had an idea for a spring fed magazine, that used an old SM5k spring from the orange ball barrel which I caniballized when I first did my mod. But those plans are usless now, because everyone can make a spring fed clip.
And undeadtom, what is that little um, picture supposed to be? A legend to the parts would be ever so helpful.

Heres how it works:
You sign on, connect to your isp (internet service provider) server. each port on that server has an ip. when you connect you hook up with a port, 1 in about 2000. it is rare to hook up with the same ip, unless you sign on 2001 time in a day. Also, because new servers are being put in eveery day, ip's change all the time

In your case, you're connecting through an AOL proxy so technically there could be hundreds of people with the same IP. AOL doesn't assign you a real IP address, they give you an internal address and route traffic to that. Just one more reason to hate AOL I guess.
I used to make darts the way buck describes because of there accuracy
Your first BI post was written to try to validate a previous BB post. Not only that, but you actually claim (as BI) to have thought of the idea first.
<like you>
Your first BI post uses angle brackets in place of parens. More than a quarter of your BB posts use angle brackets in place of parens, semi-colons, and whenever you just feel like sticking them in.
You use the `description' line on new posts with both accounts. You use it the same way with both accounts:
BI:
What Kinda Clips?
I must know
BB:
New Darts.
They sting
My Gun
Got to see this!
All of your new topics with both accounts are about homemades. Homemades is generally our least popular forum.
You created your BI account on January 25 which happens to be the same day as your last BB post.
Oh yeah, and you just happen to be using the same AOL proxy with both accounts.

Internet Protocal, if thats what ur talking about, changes daily.
Heres how it works:
You sign on, connect to your isp (internet service provider) server. each port on that server has an ip. when you connect you hook up with a port, 1 in about 2000. it is rare to hook up with the same ip, unless you sign on 2001 time in a day. No sir, you are very stupid. DYNAMIC IP addresses do that. Static IP addresses NEVER change, unless reset by your ISP for whatever reason. Most people have Static IP addresses. I THINK T1, T3, and some cable connections have dynamic IPs, but that's about it. If you DO have a dynamic IP from a home address, you're probably very lucky. Most people have static.
I could be wrong about this. Cx seems to know what he's talking about, and if you both have the SAME IP, connecting from the SAME ISP, registering on the SAME date that you left on your other account, then you're most likely the SAME person. Don't even bother denying it. You're just a coward. If you just confessed, maybe we wouldn't all hate you as much.

Guess what it says. "Liar".

But anyway, I'd just like to add that you need to straighten the darts out a lot before you put them in the magazine, especially if it is gravity fed. Even though spring mags might be a little more complicated, they will insure that the dart will fall into the barrel.
First make a container out of any of the materials already listed. It should be about the length and width of a dart, and then make it high enough to hold 5 or 10 darts. Find a light spring and glue it onto a piece of wood or sheet metal or whatever material you're using. Then take that and attach it to the bottom of the magazine. Make a breech load system like the one showed in the Homemades section and attach the magazine onto hole in the barrel. Now when you twist the barrel a dart should shoot in place, ready to fire.

Another way to get a member title, as demonstrated by BI, is to be a complete dumbfuck, and abuse your second chance at being a good member of this forum.
Yeah, it's hard to get one here... but for this troll, all too easy.
I'm going to stop now... I believe this is a very good thread with some great ideas, splattered with shit here and there.
The spring magazine is what I was thinking of doing, as I said. It is simple enough, and the only problem is jamming. This is a problem because the spring is pushing all the darts into the barrel, and there may end up being one in the barrel, and one halfway in. By twisting the barrel to close the breach, you may infact 'clip' the dart. Not a good thing to do.
Has anyone come up with a good breach that fixes this very real problem?

American Standard Code for Information Interchange... art?what about that wood gravity fed one on that eat shit. How do you make them air tight. I've tried a breach, but i always crush the next dart.
Edit: It isnt a member title. Just ASCII art.
That's great that you want to be big and try to make yourself look like you know something... it's a fucking member title that one of the Admins slapped on you. Accept it... holy fuck.
About your gravity fed breach, you said exactly what I said. The next dart gets clipped... read the previous posts.
So far Spectre thinks he has solved the problem, so let's see it Mike. Do you have any plans drawn up, or do you want to explain it to us?
