Does anyone have good ideas for the new(er) magstrike? I got one today and im having trouble actually taking it apart and I was also wondering if it has different internals. Any good ideas would be welcome.

I would do just that but I've never modded a magstrike or any pump gun EVER.

If it's the little cap that's glued on at the end of the pump, you'll need to dremel through it, or just do what I did and break it--but, you know, gently.

Your post bugs me. It doesn't matter if you're new or not. Nobber can spell and has a very good point, this guy has been around for two months, in which he has done nothing to try to solve his own problems by adapting methods from other mods, and he actually helped by giving some good advice. zezjek had lots of time to see the failure of threads like this, but chose to not learn from them. You on the other hand think being new is an excuse for ignorance, and it's not.
As for contributing to this thread, use a nice non-kitchen knife to pry around the edges while pushing up. It should make cracking noises as the glue breaks, and will pop off once you go all the way around.

Dude, open the gun up partway so you know where it is glued, then dremel thru it. Or pop it off with a flathead screwdriver, if you are unlucky enough to not have a Dremel. Oh, and zexjek,
