This is my first attempt at the Mega Maverick. It has the internal air tank of the Mega Missile in place of the Maverick plunger. I chose to single it so I could get a working model, but I have another Mega Maverick with the turret in progress.

The hardest part may have been gutting the maverick to fit the Mega air tank.

Here it is after extending the tank and pump. That's 2" pvc in the front air tank and 1" pvc for the pump.

Here are the internals showing how I glued the Mega Missile trigger to the Maverick trigger.

Next I added a coupler and 1" cap in place of the orange pump handle.

A 12" barrel works well. The gun is painted with Krylon Fusion flat camo green.

At 8 pumps with sonic whistling darts it can shoot up to 100ft.
Firefly glow darts can shoot 75 ft.

My next project is the Maverick with turret. It is working now but it has rotation issues because the air tank is not glued to the gun yet. Hopefully I can get the timing right over the break. Videos coming this spring.

Would it be Possible... not saying that it is or anything, but would it work, if you put the airtank sideways? It would help with aiming dramtically! :D

You should consider using stefans. They're cheaper than stock darts, and if you make them well, they will go farther than stock darts.

For the timing to work out, the valve shouldn't trigger until the end of the trigger stroke. That's when the turret is aligned with the valve.

Nice mod, though!

I like the Homemade pump, Its basically a mega missile with a maverick trigger and shell.
Looks functional, definitely spectacular ranges with whistler darts.

Nice mod.

Thats the way I do it. Use a rag with some light fast rubbing.

Sometimes I hate my uncontrollable imagination....
