To get the plunger head back on, make several slits perpendicular to the hole and push it on. In other words, make the hole look like a pushnut fastener, kind of, or an asterisk( * ). Then once it's on, pour plumbing Goop in the center like you regularly would. This makes sure it never comes off, as well as improving the seal. glue under the plunger head too, if necessary. There you go.
