I resently got a magstrike and when I opend it up there was no hole in the peice at the end of the
fireing piston.WEIRD. I was just wondering if anyone had ever had a magstrike like this before ?

So, it doesn't fire? Unless you're talking about the end that connects to the tubing, this could cause a bit of a problem.

I believe a picture would help specify the MS part of which he is asking of...

If their is no hole at the end of the piston, how can the piston mechanism operate?

^^^ I think he's talking about that little hole that we all end up plugging with hot glue, as with the longshot. Are you sure that it's not there? That's also pretty cool, maybe there are a few other "differences" that you got luck with aswell. And does this magstrike happen to be the new yellowis one, the AS-10, because on the box it says more powerful, or something on the line of that.

when i got my MS mine didnt have the hole either neither of the 2 did

rokor you are right!! But no it is not the yellow one and yes I am sure it is not there.

On topic: I would say that this is because of a new-gen MS, that is'nt the yellow one...I don't know, but it is a possibility.

Okay, did you get an Iron man Magstrike? If so, there is no little hole on the piston (so I heard).

I recently got the new magstrike and I'm having trouble opening it. Around the base of the pump there is an orange piece of plastic that prevents it from opening even though all of the screws are out. Is this piece on yours pheonix? If so, how did you remove it?

Ps. Mine is the yellow one.

You can use a Flathead Screwdriver and pry it off, or use pliers

Maybe the new AS-10 magstrike has no little hole, and this is a newer 1st gen with newer parts?

No it is the old blue dart tag magstrike.

I think that this is relevent.

I got a magstrike AS-10 (the new one) and it doesn't have this hole of which you all speak.

Yeah I have and I'm guessing that's why it says more powerful on the box.

I bought the old magstrike approximately a year ago, neither of the two purchased had the whole you guys found. Neither did the powerclip i bought before that.
