Ya know you would think that wouldn't ya. But losers HAVE to have cover. Cuz 90% your team mate can't do it all. So we've kinda trained around the idea of cover. Anyway though, I also like it alot better, because I hate just getting shot randomly, it sucks. People could just shoot out into the open and hit someone there. It happened to me time, and time again, and it sucked.

*i can see how it could happen to you time. but time again it happened to you, now that's just too far.* (sorry, the phrase "time and time again" is just funny)

anyways...i am thinking that they should be about 3' high, so you have to duck a little, about 6' feet wide, to alow for two or three people to be there at the same time. i think that i would use either cheap and dark fabric (something that can withstand a dart) or blue tarp material. if you want to get really schnazzy, i could try and find a way to put either some bitchin' taglines on the bunkers (of course they would be appropriate for public eyes) or nerfhaven.com or both or nothing. one final question, should i attempt to make the barricade fabric with as little opacity as possible, or should it be see-through enough to make out that there is a person behind it?

A little?! Cut the 6' brutha some slack! B)

Ooooh, advertising space on barricades. If you manage to put a fat-ass NH logo on there with your choice of slogans from the slogan contest, I'll give you a custom avatar, a micro stefan, and a tour of Deerfield park!

I thought we was gonna' be atomic wedgie month at NH? I mean really, we stock up on the damn things and you're gonna' go with the custom avatars instead? These are high quality peer pressure moments we're talking about and you're just going to leave them sitting there?!?

I'm not sure if I can go yet, because my family and I are planning on going to some mountains to snowboard (well I snowboard they ski...). My mom said that I have to pack for it "ALL" Saturday, I'll try to weezle (sp?) out of it, but right now its about 50-50...

toj and i can go together if we can make time but that is going to be hard to do.

Yeah barricades sound really cool, especially in the alamo area. Three feet though? That is a little short. I think 3.5 or 4 feet would be ideal for everyone, especially the taller folks ;) . I really love barricade wars or wars with similar type cover. That's pretty much where I play best. I'm a very sneaky man and I do love my cover. I'll support them in all areas and make a few too.

I think if we had portable easy-to-use barriars to spread out all over the grass area etc. it would at a lot of dyanamic-action-awsomeness to the wars.

Pweened! Hubbard has just re-established contact with me and he will definately be joining Jordan, Matt, Jason, Steph and myself at the war! Dude with my team, that flag is staying SECURELY at our base this time.

I'll wager that my 6-person team this war would kick the ass of any other 6 person team you guys can come up with. I'll give 5 of my (über) micro Stefans to each member of any 6 person team that can kick our ass in a standard 5 hit war. Takers? >ring< Oh I'm sorry, school is now in session b10tches. Come get some!

So, sense me, and, as of right now, Dan and Kevin are coming. We need three people. We're a bit rusty, but we make up for it in style, lol. We wanna take on Spoon's team too! Lol, they'll all die horrible deaths! Lol, just messin. But we do need three people then, though we could try to do it ourselves, and probably still win, it wouldn't be fun without you guys. :D

mason, try not to post private messages on public boards. you obviously have enough ways to contact me, three being on this site: personal messaging, my email, and my aim screen name. just use one of those next time.

next, i think that would be sort of a cool war style. a '6 on 6 king of the hill tournament' seeing as how spoon threw the gauntlet, it's his team vs. another (preferably mine), then winner goes on. whoever comes out after all teams have fought at least once wins. winner gets a cookie. limited to 3 lives, to save the onlookers time. i dunno, what do you guys think?

Crap.

Well, it turns out that my plane is scheduled to leave San Diego on, yep, April 12th. I've been trying to get my dad to change it, but he doesn't want to shell out an extra hundred bucks so that I "can go to some Nerf war." Sorry dudes, doesn't look like I'll be making it to this one... I'm especially sorry since C was planning this around my trip. Big apology to everyone! :(

Much sux0rz.

Find a better airfare deal than he did and bribe him with it?

Sell a couple of guns you don't want anymore and give him the $100 difference?

Make up the difference by eating very very little between now and then?

Hrm... that's all I've got, sorry.

I'll buy a gun. J/k, sorry you can't go, but I can't make any of the wars you guys have. I live in SC, and I know for a fact that my parents wouldn't take me to nerf war a "billion hundred thousand million" miles away, though I'd love to come, and I would drive if I could. We should have a war near where I live, like at Myrtle Beach or something...

i post here this evening to inform you of some sad news concerning the upcoming YANO.

today, while riding a Razor scooter, i hit a small bump. it did not help that i was laughing frantically miliseconds prior to the incident. after my front wheel was lodged in the concrete, i was flipped head over heels onto the pavement. the back of my left knee suffered some scrap damage, along with my hands. the biggest casualty of all was my eyes. no, i have not directly damaged my pupils, but something much worse...

it was not a sunny day, and i found my hip pink sunglasses (featured in the YANO gallery) of no use. putting them in my pocket was the biggest mistake of my young life...

the sunglasses were in my pocket when the horendous accident occured, and i am afraid they are no longer among the living. Doctors worked around the clock to repair the snapped right side and the cracked lense, but to no avail.

me and those glasses when back along way, and i am sad to see them go. to make a long story short: umm....i will be not be wearing my pink glasses to YANO, and unless i can find a trendy substitute, i am afraid my nerfing qualities may not be up to par.

with deep sorrow,
commander ray: over and out.

Jesus Christ, for the first half of your post you had me hyperventilating, thinking you had gotten shards of glass in your eye or some shit like that.

Sorry to hear of your misfortune. I've experienced a similar loss in my life...

That was funny! I was like, 'NO! He's in the hospital on his death bed! No! not his eyes! I know that pain! I'm so sorry.' And then you start talking about your sunglasses, that was funny as heck! I'm sorry about the sunglasses though. We all have something like that....

well...i'm glad you guys thought the story was funny. i have never had so much fun posting until that story. i was really trying to make it seem like i had been blinded or something, i guess it worked. seeing the upset this has created among socal nerfers and the upset in my heart as well, i think i am going to try to repair them with some pink tape or something.

i think my YANO count is still at about 5.
