Alright, we're gonna do the April YANO to coincide with Sandman's visit to SoCal.

Saturday, April 12
9:00 - 5:00 //none of this pansy 11-5 east coast crap
The usual location: Deerfield park @Culver+Deerfield in Irvine

Notable changes:

I'm adding PETG to brass and copper for the banned sm5k barrel material list.

After meeting up at the lunch tables, I want everyone to bring all their crap over to the urban area. Running back to the tables for repairs or to fetch other guns is a waste of everyone's time.

Stuff that's the same:

If you don't have eyewear you can't play. No exceptions.

All black and all camo are not permitted. I'm gonna bring a couple of ugly-ass tshirts for anyone who ignores this.

Mark your darts if you want them back. Dart weights must be completely covered with hot glue. Do not be creative (screws, power loads, anything else sharp or pointy) with your dart manufacture. I would strongly suggest 3/0 fishing weights or 1/4" steel slingshot ammo - both are inexpensive and available at wal-mart.

Alright, we are going to break the 10 war record we set at the Feb YANO so eat your wheaties and be ready to NERF!

Sweet! Thanks for the consideration, Cxwq! I'll try to bring a few of my best guns on the airplane. I'll probably try to carpool with some of the San Diego guys, or if that doesn't work out, I'm sure I could convince my mom to make a road trip up to L.A.

If all else fails, Greyhound has a SD -> Anaheim round trip for $25 on that day departing SD @4:30am and departing Anaheim @7:30pm for the return trip. If necessary, I can shuttle you from the Anaheim bus terminal to the war and back.

That said, I'm sure you can work something out with one of the SD folks.

Hmm... my brother lives in SD, maybe I can convince him to come up for the next war.

I speak for myself when I say, "YEAH! IT'S ON STAURDAY!" Thank you for your consideration. Lol. Anyway I'll be there. I'll talk with the guys and see what they say. Kevin, I need to speak with you about making me some guns, so expect a pm soon. Hopefully, by that time, I'll be driving as well...heheheh, look out pedestrians! Here I come! Anyway, do to our lack of guns; I'm relying on buying new ones and what not. Wish me luck.

Just a question here - does the YANO replace the LANO?

Nope. They're seperate entities, defined more or less by a race condition.

If I lock the database first it's a YANO, If Spoon locks the database first it's a LANO.

The functional paramaters are quite similar however.

Excellent...

The beggining of spring break will be great for a war. We're staying at a beach house the month of April, so I don't know if my mom can drive, but one of my clanmates probably will be able to if my mom can't. Sandy pants, you can catch a ride with us. You're going to be in San Diego, not Escondito, right? We're about 45 min from downtown San Diego, so if you could get up to where we're at, we'd be more than happy to take you the rest of the way. April LANO's always rock, second only to Armageddon. I almost have my PETG AT3k done, pretty much identical to CXWQ's, without the pretty wallpaper tile inside the transparent blue tank. It's gonna be great, and I may get my BBB telescoped with brass. Well, it sounds like alot of fun, can't wait.

Hope you guys can make it.

We had a pretty good war size last time but a few more wouldn't hurt.

Cool I just realized something. My friend, who lives in Burbank, is coming down for spring break. Might want to count me as 2 for the head count.

i was thinking about building some pvc and cloth or tarp barricades for Batman's possible indoor summer war. if i did build them, would people want to use a few at YANO? i was thinking that the open concrete between the handball and the flag area could use some sort of extra cover, and maybe one on the knoll and possibly one on the grass on the tenis-court side of the bungalos. i think it might be interesting to play one or two wars with these new implements, but i can see how people might be against it. there might need to be some rule adjustments, if we do use them. also, if i build some for YANO, are there specific dimensions i should make them, or specific materials to use?

count me for 4-6 people.

I'd like to hear some opinions on the barricade issue. It would definitely change the dynamic of the war.

Lol. I think barricades would be great over there! I hate that place! Theres no friggin cover! I don't think we need any in the urbam area, or it just wouldn't be urban any more. But I think their definetly needed in the Alamo. I mean think abot why we named it! It's a friggin slaughter house! (This is comeing from the guy that played the absolute worst in that area!)

I think barricades would help, especially on the grassy knoll and near the flag planter like Ray said. I don't see why you are complaining about the Alamo Josh, I mean with as open as that area is, losers dominated the games. We didn't even play in there last time though.

BTW here is my count: Me, Jordan, Steph, Matt, my other friend Jason (couldn't make it last time), and probably Steph's friend Bran. So definately 5, possibly 6.
