[Ubermensch]

Well, 2008 is over, bringing an end to another great year of Nerf. What do you think were the highest, lowest, and most notable points of the year, personally and on a large scale?

Highest:

-The Lancer
-The great noob influx II: Return of the Noobs
-Some great new members
-Strengthening my friendships with other Nerfers.
-Making my first transctions through NH.
-Some great new members(rork, jsb, Aside, Foamfoot, Radio, Splitlip,etc)
-The growth of FoamUniverse.


Lowlights:

-The great noob influx.
-Silentsnipe

Highest:
+ Great member: me! ( Just kidding)
+New guns
+Boom of new mods

Lowlights
+ Riot in China
+People that can't spell!
+The flamers

damnit, I was gonna put Silentsnipe on my list. Just kidding. And sorry, anyone who was on their computer and not getting their New Years kisses is lame.

Highlights
-Watching my friend who I nerf with get his mack on with a girl he had just met (my girl and I introduced them)
-CrossSNAP. I actually got it almost done, paint and all
-Great wars
-Meeting tons of awesome MidWest guys. Hilt, Carbon, Carrtoon, Ryan, and all the others, Keep up the Nerf
-Actually gaining some more recognition with my homemades
-Actually building my SNAP. Took me two years to finally get around to it.
-The great younger Nerfers I have met.
-"Man, this reminds me of highschool" -Goose Island. "Dude, you aren't even a Freshman" -NerfCrazy
-Messiah, or themessiahpsg1. He made the one war I was at with him fun.
-Switching from micro stefans to megas, back to micros. What? They are more accurate.
-Zombie VIP. Thanks Zach
-Keeping some friends, making new ones, and meeting some pretty cool younger people
-More people to make fun of, and as such, grow closer

Lowlights
-Having said friend lay on my leg and bump into it during said mack session
-Face shot by Bullshit Dragon. Damn, I didn't know I was a bleeder

highlights:

Vacc and talio coming back to the forums
The +bow
Finally getting my account registered
Angels roll of amazing blasters+write-ups
the amount hasbro and the NIC improved over the year (vulcan, recon, videogame, more members, more wars)

Good:
Taking up nerf.
Account validation after 2.5 months.

Getting 5 hours of detention and then the principal forgetting. (I didn't serve it)
Bad:
Not making it to SENO

More people getting "Just nerf" into their numb-skulls.
Apoc '08.
Finding out how to use my 2k and 3k nicely.
Going to 6 wars, half of them within 25 days.


Lows:
FoamUniverse, QQ.
More people being dicks.

Ahhh. Call me nooby, but

Good,
-First year I got into modding Nerf.
-Got my account validated on here with a great first post.
-I have set a partial foundation for a new (don't know if there already is one) SDNC - San Diego Nerfers Club
-Have (In my opinion) risen from the horrors of noobdom.

Bad,
-Wasted 2+ months sealing leaks on the Phoenix.
-Screwed up two guns

All in all, a very promising first year of Nerfing.
-iMod

- Making some Nerf videos finally
- Selling some of my mods
- Buying some gun parts for cheap in the trading section
- Having a New Years Eve Nerf war with all adults

Future Highs:
Watching VACC close this topic and possibly hand out suspensions when this turns into a shitfest because of previous remarks regarding silentsnipe

Lows:
It's fucking Nerfhaven, there are no lows

Egno
Replacing my lost primary.
Getting validated
Meeting a whole lot of nice guys/girls (radio, JSB, kdizzle, redmark).

The bad:
Losing my X-bow
Almost getting banned because someone told the mods that I was underage.


The Ugly:

Influx of total idiots who don't read the code of conduct.

The Future:

I am going to post my mod soon.
A war that someone and I are planning in Manteca
Hoping to go to Armaggedon/ Fall CAFF

+ Finally Have a decent primary (FrankenMod)
+ I've gone to Hell
+ Found FU (It's chill over there)
+I've found a way to make my RFR awesome

My cons:
- There are no modding materials in my area!!!

- Discovering a great new hobby.
- VACC's commentary. Abrasive, but insightful.

Lowlights:
- Not being able to attend the September MNNO.
- Being too busy at work to devote the time I would like to modding.

2008 proved to be great for those of us down in the Southeast region. Heres to another great year of nerf!

Highlights:
- successful Summer and Fall SENOs and those little wars in-between
- gaining some modding experience from friends and fellow nerfers
- SNAPbow (thanks rork!)
- watching the influx of new members
- watching the development of several excellent homemades
- following the admins' tough-love (and Groove's lolcats spree)

Lowlights:
- having to suffer the dreaded SE heat at Summer SENO which was followed by the chillies at Fall SENO
- watching the influx of noobs
- having to downsize my arsenal
- not finishing my SENO vid (sorry guys, it should be up today haha)

Nerf on! VIVA LA SENO!!!

Highlights:
+ Completing the L+L
+ All of th advances made in homemade technology (SNAPbow, +bow rev 2, CrossSNAP, etc...)
+ Meeting Zaxby's and Shadowblade at Summer SENO and Rork at fall SENO
+ Being able to come up for two wars this year.
+ Finishing great projects
+ SENO Video

Lowlights:
+ The dreaded heat at Summer SENO which actually I like better then the cold which bings me to my next point...
+ The dreaded cold at Fall SENO

Pros: Getting a crap ton of guns, mainly at3k's.
All the wars my friends and I had.
My new drill, bits and tool kit.
Getting out and nerfing.
The humor Talio always seems to slip into the way serious stuff.
Getting some praise for my homemade ammo belt.
My church allowing us to use the premesis to nerf.
Seeing all of the awesome homemades such as the SNAPbow and the +bow.
Getting my nightfinder with an EaB spring inside returned to me.
Getting the Halo 3 heroic and legendary map packs.
3 District Youth Conference FTW!!!!!
The BITCHSLAYER made by blacksunshine.

Cons: Not making it to any wars.
One of my 3k mods failing.
Getting yelled at by badger and chanclas. (It is hard to tell if they are joking or being sarcastic over the internet!)

This is just for me mainly.

Highs:
-Lancer
-Great Wars
-Having Talio come back on the forums
-Having new members have great idea, look at Heretricorp (Hope I spelled that right) and Splitlip
-Getting my Xbow
-Getting and seeing many collections
-Having my collection be finished for the most part, need to do some touch ups but its all good!
-Meeting Groove, OMC, Talio, Slug, Vacc and everyone that I meet.
-Getting into the Directory
-Getting validated after 4 months
-Getting one of the first Rev 2. Plus bows.

Lows:
-Searching for an Xbow for so long
-Hurting my self from modding so much
