The title says it all. I have two secret shots that I have modified and I am not satisfied with their velocity. I want to replace the original spring with a stronger one, preferably one that gives me ranges of 60'-70'. Does anyone know of a spring I could buy at an ACE store or at another hardware store that will get the job done? The main problem is finding one that is skinny enough to fit inside the plunger tube (i.e. a handyman spring is too fat)

Thanks

Try a #49 from ACE's drawers. It's about the strongest you can possibly put in a Nightfinder without destroying it. The Secret shot ought to be able to handle it adequately. Howerver, if you haven't singled it, you probably won't get that kind of range.

Maybe a TTG spring, the plunger tube on it is very very skinny

TTG's and 49's will not work.
DS's inside NF's will not work.
No spring I have ever tried has fit.

I believe I used a doubleshot spring in mine, and triple barreled it. The three shots were hitting 50' flat. I'm sure if you singled it you could get 65-70 without too much trouble. One combination of springs I had made it shoot about 75 flat (only from one barrel, the others weren't sealing which contributed towards the seal on the good barrel) while turreted but the recoil made the barrels shoot out after 2 shots.

Alright well I cant get a hold of a doubleshot spring and I heard a whiptail scorpion spring works too, but who has one of those? So does anyone know where the best place to buy springs are? I was thinking Lowe's or Home Depot but I wasn't sure. I went to my local ACE and all their springs are useless when it comes to nerf guns.
