I ended up with a recon recently and a ls value pack (3 mags)

so I am attempting to make a 15rnd clip from a LS mag and a recon mag and I have found minor differences.

the plastic the recon mag is made from is slightly thicker. the spring is made differently and the screws are shorter.

I got stuff in the wrong order in the pics but I will sort them out. the LS screws are on the bottom recon screws are on the top.

the LS spring is on the top...Posted Image Posted Image

the recon spring Posted Image Posted Image

I decided to use the recon mag on the top of my double because the LS had bigger screws so could possibly be stronger plus if I have any problems with the magazine plastic being thinner the shape of the follower should favor this design...

So... Which one is better?

Did you buy them at the same time? If not, then design might have changed.

Even if you bought them at the same time, there is no garruntee they are from the same production run.

Look at the left side of the Longshot. It's like the same as the recon.

It probably got bent or whatever.

I don't know if this is relevant or not but when I got my new Recon, it seemed like the stock clip was just a tiny bit wider at the top and the stock streamlines that came with it were both shorter in length by about an 1/8 of an inch and smaller in diameter than the stock streamlines I had for my LS so when I put the streamlines that I got with the LS in the stock Recon clip they had the tendency to slip out of the top.

Maybe that was just a coincidence or a glitch in the manufacturing of the darts, or the clip, Dunno.

Rev 8 Recon? What are you talking about? I think you made a mistake and confused the names of the Firefly REV-8 and the Recon CS-6.
