Okay, since my first topic was shut down, this one will have to do. The war is currently slated for May 18th, 2003 at the LGLF's Tindall Park. Hope to see everyone there, what kind of a time slot are we looking for here? Anyone have any suggestions?

How about 10:30 arrival and 5:00 departure? And then after the end of the first war that extends past 2:00 we can order some subs or pizzas or something and take a half hour or 45 min. for lunch.

I dunno but he got my topic closed while he made his vain attempt to be "hot shit" when we didn't need him to begin with. All he did was state the obvious and even then I only read half his post, since we already agreed on Tindall Park and the day. Oh well, all I know is that he's from the LGLF and from the sounds of it, he might think he's good *Shudder*

Holy jumping fucking Jesus, Famine, that's the hardest I've laughed in a long time. Anyway, I'm down with Tindall Park, and I don't doubt its playability and coolness. If we want a level and free surface, you all should come up to me and check out the fields we have at Ramapo College. The common area by the dorms are excellent, and Potter's Field is the new soccer field, which is nothing but flat ass ground. I tell ya, its like they built this place to nerf at.

Hey guys,

I know we're trying to stay on topic here, and I do have important stuff to talk about regarding the May war, but I have a brief digression here. Langley, myself, and the rest of the LGLF just want to apologize for anything that may have been posted here that would suggest that we're not fully serious about making the war a totally badass experience. I know that a certain member of our group decided to troll the old thread; I read the post and we're going to talk to him about this. Anyone who's been on a forum for a period of time knows how annoying trolling can be. All of us, regardless of what clan we're in, have made a pretty awesome effort to try to make this work, and we're gonna continue doing that up to May 18.

Okay, in Middletown, if we're gonna have more than 20 people, we're going to need a permit. I know a few cops in town, so there's no danger of us spending a night in the drunk tank or anything (not like I've ever been there or anything), but still to be lawful and everything, I was wondering if all clans participating could send me a note on the thread or drop myself or Langley (preferably both) an Email and let us know how many are coming. I figure there will be more than 20, but if we have an rough estimate as to how many (I know people are gonna add on and drop out and stuff before May) it'll make things easier when I get the permit next month.

Let me know.

The Fred

P.S. To respond to that post I read on the other thread, we're gonna try to make el Pompo come to the war, even if we have to bind and gag him a-la-Hannibal Lechter.

Schwing! I hope the pompster can make it.

And who was the troll? He said he liked our place, so we would know him.

Hey everyone. I will most definitely be there. Also I have some good news. My brother and his friends are becoming increasingly into nerf. I war with them sometimes, and I think he and some of them would be willing to go. I will let you know how many exactly but right now we may be looking at 1-3 more people plus me.

Sorry to interrupt your dialogue guys.

Does anyone have any ideas about how we could mix up the battles a little? So far it seems like we're going to have more than twenty people coming, and I thought we'd try something new to keep things from getting out of hand.

After hearing Famine and Vacc talking about the merits of smaller wars, mabey for a couple of the days battles we could split everyone up into four groups and have two battles going on at once in different parts of the park. There's plenty of room for that sort of thing.

We could also try having more than two teams in one battle. Since there will be more than two clans coming, we could divide it up that way, or we could pick three or four even teams for a battle.

There aren't really any symetricall or even areas of the park for a capture the flag game, but there are places where we could do an Unreal Tournament style Assault
battle with one flag. Once the defending team has been beaten, it has to capture the opponents flag in less time to win the blattle.

Any other ideas.

I dont know about this change the battle type thing. It might be fun and all, but I dont know if anything other than normal battles would work. Scenario games seem to only really work when you are with your regular group, we tried CTF with the Horsemen once, and it was fun, but they didnt fair so well since they didnt know the park.
But hey, if we can all agree on rules and boundaries, I'm in.
Also, we should try and figure out a good way to mark teams. I kinda remember what the original LGLF members look like, but the new ones will throw me off. Should we bring two sets of different colored plastic top hats or what?
