So I was browsing the Nerf section of my local Toys R' Us when I came upon something very interesting:

On the shelf being sold alongside the refill packs. They're dated 1994 and are recommended for use with the Bow and Arrow or Arrowstorm. Naturally I asked the cashier to ring them up, and although they rung up as $6, she gave them to me for $1.99. Has anything like this ever happened to you guys?
*note, I didn't put this in the product awareness thread because it's obviously not a new product, and because I'm inquiring about similar experiences

I saw the same occurrence in a toysrus in Pensacola. Where were you when you saw these? I saw them about 3 years ago.

Same thing happened to me at a ski tent sale in Vermont, where they sold the old red micros for like 50 cents per pack. I bought all of them.

That's so weird!
I wonder if they noticed how old the packaging was, and the fact that they're made for guns that they do not sell when they stocked those on the rack?

Cool! The only similar thing I have ever heard of is when FA_24 and Crooked stumbled across a bunch of NIB SM750s at a Wal Mart a year ago. Crooked was using one as a prize for the duels at HbH2.

A while ago I was on vacation in new jersey and I found 8 packages or replacement vortex rings for 99 cents each at a toy store that was going out of business. I think I sold them all to badger a while ago.
