Hello guys,
I searched around, and found almost no guide as to choosing what sorts of paint to use (and the painting process) when PJ'ing your nerf gun.
What is the best type of paint to use when PJ'ing, and what is the best way to approach the process?
I hate to start question threads like these, but I am really clueless as how to paint a nerf blaster.
Thank you.

Spray paint if you want to cover the entire gun quickly, but acrylic is for details. Any Krylon, Rustoleum, or the 92 cent walmart stuff is good. Warhammer 40k and other model paints are usually very good acrylic paint.
Edit: here are two NS write-ups I like Link one Link 2

FireFly Modification AND PAINTING guide
Longshot Modification and Painting guide
Some techniques in there, none of the fancy shading or anything, but solid beginning techniques.
HeretiCorp's Painting Services
Some examples of what you can do with that technique.
Ok, for spray paint, TNL is completely wrong.
"Any" krylon, rustoleum or the wal-mart shit will NOT work well, as many members will tell you.
You begin by sanding the shell lightly, then you apply a base coat of Vinyl-Dye.
Brands: DupliColor Vinyl Dye, Duplicolor Metallicast, Krylon Fusion (For Plastics), and Krylon Metallics.
More info available at the threads I posted above.
