We're located in I-Don't-Give-a-Damn County, in scenic Shut-the-Hell-Up-achussets.
Maybe you're familiar with our annual charity drive where we ask for shit, and no one gives any.

I used to practice archery quite a bit. My dad got me started, and I had some light training here and there. Really the only way to get any good though is to practice a lot (and use quality equipment). I used to be fairly proficient, but never took it anywhere. Some day I might get back into it, especially when my kids get a little older. (I think my oldest, an 18-month-old, would have a bit of trouble even with a really light draw weight right now!)
Don't bother me with any of those fancy-schmancy compound bows though. Real men hold their draw with their own strength, and recurves are much prettier anyway.
(Or maybe I just like the curves. Let's see...women...Corvettes...recurve bows...AT2K's...yep - I like curves!)

Damn it Foamfoot. Why is it that you kill every good topic with a retarded response a few days late.

I don't consider Eskrima/Arnis de Mano/Kali as a Martial Art. Martial Arts are forms of combat widely practiced as a sport. Eskrima is in NO way a sport. It is a way of self-defense. You don't see people at Eskrima Competitions wackin' away at each other with plastic swords, daggers, and staffs because people who practice Eskrima practice to kill. It's not necessarily militaristic either. It's not only practiced by soldiers in the Philippine military but by civilians who wish to be ready if they are ever under attack.Im currently studying Eskirma (filipino martial arts) but there is no belt system or form of rank. its more like military martial arts (used in times of self defense of loved ones) that tyoe of thing.

I get what you mean and Our definitions Might be different in the term of martial art so I won't argue. I meant Militaristic as in self defence as you stated and I AM practicing to kill, just not on real people at the moment JKing.
