A couple weeks ago i went and bought a Switch Shot EX-3.



Here are some simple mods.
1.new springs

2.double o-rings

3.barrel replacement

Now your done!

More in depth? There isn't more in depth to the Switch Shot.

Personally, I'd like in focus pictures for something like this, focused on the item instead of the background.

But this was a good first effort.

For future reference, if you are trying to take a picture of a small part you should put the camera in Macro mode, have the camera a minimum of one foot away from the object you are taking a picture of, then zoom in slightly.

Most digital cameras simply cannot focus on objects that are that close to the lens. Their optics pretty much make it impossible.

Well, it's pretty basic, and it's more of a "show-off" rather than a writeup. There aren't instructions on how to do these things (I know what you did seem basic, but to some it may not). Alas, good initative, you'll get something really good if you keep trying to crank out new mods. Just don't become a mod whore.

Ok, the Switch Shot has 4 screws and is quite possibly the simplest nerf gun I've ever seen. If you can't figure out how to do what he did from the pictures, then I would suggest a course of study in common sense, spatial relationship comprehension and Clue 101.

I can understand this mod... It's just hard to do on the short bus.

Good first post, just use correct grammar and take better pictures. Also, please take a couple more pictures of opening the gun and how it is supposed to be put back together. Finally, don't post this if we already have other (better) mods for the gun.

You do realize that he's asking if the part that you stick in the handle can fire if you take it out of the handle. The answer to which is yes it can, but the catch is hard to move. You need a pen or something to push it from what I understand.

McScurvey, would you recommend a stronger catch spring? Does it misfire at all? What springs did you put in?

Or if you read my thread on the Switch Shot, you can put a little nub of plastic on for use with integrations if you're rebarreling and never plan to use it with the original gun again.

I added a LSFG spring to the switch shot and it never misfires, it's nice.
