i have been having a problem with my LS. Whenever i slide the bolt back and forth to cock it some of the streamline dart that is being loaded gets sliced off. Its like the dart is not fitting properly, or is in the clip at a weird angle. i have been unable to discover whether it is on the top of the dart or the bottom of the dart.

i have stuck my finger into the bolt area and felt for any sharp edges or imperfections that could be contributing to this problem but have yet to find any.

i have not done any mods to my LS yet. and i will try to put a pic up here soon so you can see what im talking about with the dart being sliced.

any help would be appreciated.

Do you leave the darts in the barrel? There is a tighter spot on the bottom, that the dart will take the shape of permenatly if left in there for a while.

Don't leave your gun loaded.

If at first you don't succeed, add more epoxy.

Maybe you accidentaly have another dart in it, which causes it to do that... Oh and why do you make your I's with a L?

no i don't leave it loaded, but i do leave the rounds in the clip, but thats not what is happening, the darts are actually being cut by the bolt or the barrel, i dont know which.

Well first of all, is the gun stock? Mainly the breach area, but is it all stock?

That happens to be a design flaw of the breech system, when the dart-tooth retracts it tends to pull to head of the dart along with it, which in turn literally rips the head off the dart.

The breech system relies on the dart-tooth to seat the dart properly, remove it and it won't shoot darts. The ripping doesn't actually hurt the dart, the head of the dart goes down pretty far into the dart and will still stay put even with the tears.

This seems to be a problem with some longshots. My neighbor's LS eats streamlines for breakfast, but my cousin's LS doesn't.

How do you load your darts?

How long do you leave your darts in the magazine? (it is a magazine btw)

How many darts to you put in the magazine?

Do you shove a fully loaded magazine into a gun with the bolt closed?

Where do you keep your darts?

Does your magazine seat correctly in your gun?

Is the inside of your magazine clean?

Are any of your darts damaged?

With both of the Breech-designed blasters out now (Recon and Longshot) the bolt, as stated before, slices the loaded dart as the bolt closes. I assume the only way to fix this is to make a whole new bolt assembly such as an Angel breech. I have a longshot which I bought about three months ago from Toys 'R' Us and it has the same issue with eating streamlines as a snack.

Hope this reinforces what has been said already about three or four times.

1: the proper way, putting the darts into the magazine, sliding them in, not pushing them in
2: day or two
3: 6
4: no
5: where else? a plastic bag
6: as far as i know it does yes, its still stock so i have no reason to believe otherwise
7: ya
8: almost all of them because of this problem. and when i use new darts they always get cut like this.

oh and i took the gun apart earlier and looked at the bolt and it did have a little imperfection that i shaved off with a razor knife and sanded it down smooth. ill post a reply in a bit to see if there's any problem anymore.

and yes i will use some brand new streamlines.

I hope that one day no body will be able to read what you say, and no one will help you. You've went through the trouble of posting a real pro noun once, what happens to be the matter about sticking with it the way the English language intended it to be.

you push the follower down and slide the dart in from the front or back?

or do you just shove them through the lips?
