Just got a vulcan; won't feed

I got it at goodwill...
It did fire at first, but usually every third dart stayed in the belt. Then it died (stopped feeding).

I think the real problem is the belt feed-gears not moving; as it will fire a dart (using the electric fire).

If it helps any, the weapon will not cock to fire semi-auto/manual either.

Not scared to crack the beast open either; any feedback appreciated.

Thanks.

The rotating gear is probably cracked. This happens to alot of Vulcans.

Well, the reason that vulcan was at the goodwill was probably because it was broken. I don't think it can be repaired, at least not effectively. You might have to scrap it...

When I modded my Vulcan I was in a rush so I didnt bother to check the internals. When I pull off a couple of shot, I hear this squeling sound and the rotating mech is no longer moving. When I open it up again(honestly not a tireing as everyone makes it out to be, took me less that 2mins) I see that the wires are tangled up in it, so all I did was hide them and it ended up working again. Hope that made sense, Im super tired.

I had this problem when I first got my vulcan. Eventually it started to fire them all.

Recently, my vulcan's wheel was internally jammed. It should be an easy fix once I get it open. There is just one thing, I can't get the bolt off! I tried prying it off with a flathead screwdriver, but no luck. Anybody know how to get it off easily.

Get one of those tiny needle nose pliers, stick it under the priming handle, and use leverage and all your strength to get that little fucker off!

Back of a hammer works great.

My friend's Vulcan had the same problem. He told me he opened it and messed with the internals and put it back together and it worked fine. From what I got from that was I think his gear was jammed. Maybe yours is jammed.

Do you honestly beleive that. Your on a Nerf modding Forum, everything we do here is cheap and not worth the time.

Thanks rokor and foof. By tonight my vulcan should be working again and I will attempt internal mods since I am opening it up anyway.

You have your shit backwards.
The less you pay for a gun makes it more worth it to tear it apart because you have less to lose if you mess it up beyond repair.
I'd much rather open up a 4.99 Vulcan from goodwill then a $50 off the shelf of target.

Forgive my spelling and grammar. I post from my cell phone a lot. Sometimes when I'm on the can at work.
