Hey guy's. I wanted to see what you thought of twilight the movie. Or even the books. I, for one, loved it. I also read the books. Don't get me wrong, they're good books. And, don't call me a pussy or gay just 'cause I read the books and liked them. What's your opinion? If this topic get's too out of control, I will be glad to have it closed.

I went and saw it with my girlfriend, so I think that pretty much un-gays everything. I didn't see too much of the movie, but of what I did see it wasn't too bad.

I support your opinion. I kept making fun of this movie to piss off these girls I know. Then I actually saw it and I was thinking "Shit, I actually liked it. How am I going to admit this to them?". I did, and it was quite surprising to them. Following that, I had a thirst for Twilight, so I read the book and thought it was even better than the movie. I don't think your at all gay if you like Twilight. In fact, you will probably get more girls if you like Twilight and talk about it with them. I definatley did.

All the fucking girls in my grade have read twilight. Wow. Now all the guy's in my class are reading twilight BECAUSE of me. And so they can get girls. But I read it 'cause I read a lot. And a couple 'a girls told me to. Heh. I am reading a book right now called city of bones. Anyone read that?

Your right about the movie part. I mean, the movie was great! But, it just was so fake. The way edward ran fast, made me wanna kick someone in the ball's very hard.
Oh and nerfer9, you have girlfriend? That's a big suprise.

Fucking sucked. Way too hyped up, like the books.

Twilight has a very basic plot, but teenage girls don't see that because "ZOMFG EDWARD CULLENS IS SOOOOOO FUCKING HOT!!!!" He's ink on fucking paper. Get over it. He's a 100 some years old and dating a 17 year old. Pedophile? I say yes. Bionicle has a better story, and it's an action figure line.

Excuse my rant, I just don't see it's worth all the hype.

NOT directed to Uber- I was saying that a children's toy series has a better story. Think about it. Book? Or Legos? Legos.

EDIT- No one could've predicted Teridax would take over. EVERYONE knew Bella was in love with the vampire.

Also, it wasn't a blooming relation. It was just "OMG He is so hot. He is so dangerous. I Love him forever!!"
Brokeback Mountain is a better love story.

Anyway, I saw movie posters for the movie when I went to go see a REAL movie (My Name is Bruce for anyone who likes Bruce Campbell) and they said stuff like "Friends don't let friends see Twilight" and this girl in my math class spent two weeks bitching about it. All I can say is, I don't believe the hype. My girlfriend was describing it to me, as she is somewhat of a fan, and I started laughing when I heard that the vampires don't go out during the day because they would be too noticeable... and I thought they would die but no... thus, killing all hope I had in it. It can't get basic mythology right.

I was about to go off at all you guys for being gay bitches, then I saw bionicle. Bionicle was good enough to spare my harsh flaming silensnipe, if there is ever a thread without it, you are in trouble. But yes I am a lego nerd and proud to say it, and I have all the second series toa. I don't really like where they are going with the new stuff though, I think they just need to keep it basic good guy/bad guy stuff.

Amen. I don't think I could watch it just due to all the shit I hear about it all day long. All this Edward's soo hot! Edward's Sooooo Cute! No. Just no. I mean for gods sake he was born in what, the 1800's? He would be a pedophile dating ANYONE alive today.

But Cell isn't about zombies and they don't really take over the world. And the normal people don't take the world back over. The book ends before that is explained but they probably just wait for the crazies to die of exposure during the winter. Wonderful book, great read. I recommend it.

But that isn't what this topic is about. I don't care to read the Twilight series or see the movie because it seems too trendy. Back in '99 I read Amelia Atwater-Rhodes' first book which she wrote at the age of 13. Vampire related and very good. I continued reading her series until the Falcondance book--of which I only read half--but then I got back to Stephen King and haven't been interested in vampire books since. If you want vampire books read hers instead.

My ex-girlfriend used to worship it as a religion, so she gave me the books to read. They were ok, I mean, you all KNOW that Edward is gonna come back at the end of the second one, and the fourth one is like a REALLY bad porno. Stephanie Meyer totally avoids conflict in that book, and it sucks.
