So I got bored earlier today and decided to test my aim with my modified NF. I challenged my brother to see who could hit the narrow side of a playing card first. I was convinced it would take forever to make the shot.
Stood back about eight feet from the card, which was held upright by paper cup with a slit in it to hold the card.

Then, by pure dumb luck. I got it first try. my brother got it three times throughout the course of about 40 shots. I did it again twenty tries later.

So I challenge the Nerf Haven community to meet, if not "one up" this challenge. Test your skills and post the results.

Good luck beating the first try.

P.S. My NF has a stronger spring, no AR's, and a custom laser sight to get the aim spot on. ranges are 70' flat and 90+ angled. Stronger guns will better meet the challenge.

You might want to increase the range from 8 feet...that's kind of a short distance.

Dude, he is trying to hit a playing card by its thickness. That is probably less than 1/16" thick. He should back up to 10 ft, but seriously, less than 1/16".

This contest may have some flaws, as people can simply be a deuschbag over the internet. By Lying.

A war-like setting/invitational would be better...

You know what? That wouldn't be a bad idea, especially for those wait periods between rounds. It'll give us something else to do while we're waiting for round to end.

Hell, i'd do that. To make it fair, we'd have to agree on a base to modify off of, such as the nitefinder.

How's this. I'll try it again and post on Youtube, Legitimate proof. Then i'll refine the challenge and set some guidelines.

In all honesty, it's an easier shot than you'd think. All it takes is getting one part of a 3/8" wide dart to go over a certain line. I'm willing to bet anyone could do it. It's luck that is the main factor.

How about one of those little targets that comes with the Nitefinder.

Setting it up around 70 feet away.

Not that is a challenge.

The questions are:

Is your gun accurate enough?
Are your darts made well enough.

I don't get my kicks out of you,
I don't feel the way I used to do.
I know its bad,
After what we had,
But I’m just not the angel you knew.

Wait...aiming? Whats that? I'm confused here

Just kidding. I know what aiming is, but why? I mean, your guns just aren't always gonna go where you point. Its the nature of the beast. Just get comfortable with your gun.

We've used the NF targets as actual objective targets in one of the game-types I run with the youth group at church.

We set up two large targets (printer paper boxes with tissue paper covering the open end) and three to five small targets (the NF targets) as the required targets for assaulting an enemy base. Once all of the NF targets are knocked over, and the two tissue paper targets have been breeched by missiles (darts don't count), the round is over. The teams take turns as attackers/defenders, with the attackers having infinite respawns, while the defenders only get one or two each. Whichever team "destroys the base" faster wins the game.

Obviously, accurate, long-ranged shooting against the NF targets can really help your team take down the enemy base that much quicker.
