The LGLF will be hosting the spring war - fo' real this year - at our home field Tindall Park. We're thinking mid May. We'll be working around the Brookdale and Rutgers spring terms. The Brookdale spring term ends on the 11th. If the Horsemen, LCM, Hersh, Talio, and GD could let me know what obligations they're going to have in May, that would be great.

Note, this isn't nessisarily the next big war, but I want to get the planning for this one out of the way early.

Also, I would like to set up a rain date for this one in the event that something comes up for any particular group, or if the weather conditions are so bad that transportation would be effected. We've obviously proven, between the spring war last year and The Reckoning this year that we need to plan a backup date.

In the event that there is a problem preventing the other groups from making the commute, the war will still be on for the LGLF and whoever wants to come. We'll just war again later on with more people.

And finaly, as always this is open season for trash-talking, flaming, and posting of offensive imagery. But not in this thread. If you want to sieriously discuss the Spring war, say it here, but if you want to say something about my mother, make your own damn thread. I will be happy to reply.

Ah murphy's law working hard for us all.

Yeah so I think it's a little early for me to talk dates. I haven't seen the academic calander for this semester yet, so I don't know what my last day will be, nor what my plans are. My sister is getting married in June, so once again, I have to wait and see what that will bring. I will be there, but I can't really give you my schedule yet. Figure though that just about any sunday will do. Thanks LGLF,

Talio.

Evil,

I'm leaning more towards, like, the breaking of the 5th Seal leading to a tremendous plague of dodo birds ascending upon Central New Jersey for this one. But I guess snow might happen, too.

2 things....

Fred will abuse, ache, afflict, ail, be sore, be tender, belt, bite, blemish, bruise, burn, cramp, cut, cut up, damage, disable, do violence, flail, flog, harm, hurt, impair, injure, kick, lacerate, lash, maltreat, mar, maul, mess up, nip, pain, pierce, pinch, pommel, prick, punch, puncture, punish, rough up, shake up, slap, slug, smart, spank, spoil, squeeze, stab, sting, tear, throb, torment, torture, total, trouble, wax, whack, whip, wing, wound, wrack up, wring, or zing himself before this goes down.

Second there is no such thing as "Central Jersey". When you cut something in half, how many parts to do have? There is a North and a South Jersey. All these people that live between Sayreville and Bradley Beach better learn that once you cross the Raritan Bridge, or as I like to call it the Mason-Dixon Line, you are coming up on the dirrty south (yea that's right two r's). It's like a whole other country down there. I like you guys, but just stop calling it central jersey. Isn't it weird how "Central Jersey" is home to 3/4 of "Weird NJ" stuff? God I love living in a metropolitan area.

Did you go through the dictionary to make that list?

Ok Hersh, Central Jersey exists to people who live in Central Jersey. To North Jersey people, our area is south jersey, and to south jersey we're not south jersey. So what the hell are we? This isnt the twilight zone, so we made up our own area.

That was impressive, Hersh. Many of those verbs... "flog" being amongst them... are part of my daily existence, though.

Central Jersey exists because we know that we are better than both North and South Jersey. If you've ever listened to a person from South Jersey attempt to speak, you'd begin to realize that generations upon generations of inbreeding have begun to take their toll. If you've ever listened to a person from North Jersey attempt to speak, you'd begin to realize that they really shouldn't be allowed to speak.

I won't even get into the topic of air and soil quality differences between New Jersey regions, but if you've ever driven to Newark Airport you'd know what I am talking about.

With love,
The Fred

Update:

May 23rd isn't going to work because the local scout troop is having it's annual rafting trip that weekend, tying up myself and heefner's crew.

May 8th isn't going to work either. May 11 is the end of the Brookdale Spring term, and I will be studying for finals. (And, presumabley, so will Famine)

This leaves the possibility of the 2nd, the 16th, and the 30th.

On a side note, how does everyone feel about trying to have this thing on a saterday instead of a sunday?

You'll have to get feedback from the trackee lackies of the LCM for that one. All I have to do is ask off for the day however.

I would just like to restate at this time that I still feel it is way to early to begin planning this. While it helps to know which dates WON'T work ahead of time, I think we should wait until at least late March or early April before picking a day to set in stone.

And no, I won't be studying. I don't believe in studying. No, for real. If I don't remember it the first time it's taught to me, I'm not going to remember it at all.

I don't plan on setting a date in stone untill early april, but if we determine that there aren't any good weekends in may, then I can at least change the plans to war in early june, or see if saterdays work for anyone, etc.
