I believe it is clear to see, from just about every one of the above posts, that this blaster isn't going to be used on people. With a gun that powerful, a main component is going to be accuracy, because you're shooting people from so far away.

Yikes, that thing could leave a good sized hole in someone.
that's what she said
Appropriate name, you could slay a fair amount of bitches with this. How is it when you turn the velocity down?
The resulting darts that are pictured are with the velocity turned all the way down. I'm going to have to make some sort of a shim to tune it down even more internally.
Accuracy BTW is great.

That is fucking awesome!!! I cant wait to see the ranges, I bet you would get 200+ with that mother.
Edit- Fuck the 12 gauge, if a robber came into your house, he'd be fucked!
Easily, when I singled my paint-ball gun it overshot my titan by at least 50ft.
But no. I was shot with mine from around 30ft and the hit was little less than a paintball.
You need to remember it might look like it could kill someone because it left a huge hole in a cardboard box, but the human body is not even close to being that rigid and the last time I checked most robbers wear shirts, thus slowing the impact even more.

If this were to be used as some sort of home defense weapon, special darts would have to be made. For example, death darts utilizing something like sewing needles could be used; though it would make the darts longer. You need to remember it might look like it could kill someone because it left a huge hole in a cardboard box, but the human body is not even close to being that rigid and the last time I checked most robbers wear shirts, thus slowing the impact even more.

I pity the fool who attempts to use a single-shot blaster against me.

the pump was plugged and I pumped it 30 times ( <for those who care).
the guys at the paintball field were shocked that my "plastic toy" shot too fast for the field. They also were surprised by how silent it was compared with paintball guns.
Overall I think I did Nerf proud that day

You can fool some people all of the time and everyone some of the time, but you cant fool all the people all of the time, but it sure is fun trying.

one day I went paint balling with a friend and I brought a titan with me. I new they had a chronograph at the field and I wanted it chrono'ed, 24" 20 schedule pvc pipe, a loose fit with the balls I had, and the thing chrono'ed at 168 feet per second 18 feet per second faster than what was acceptable at the field.

I wouldn't just use puny foam for this monster. It's called FIRE DIPPED, molten hot, metal coated stefans made of pure win from the fiery hells of Mordor .
added that hilarious quote to my signature, while playing with my butthole. You're awesome, my friend.
We're all in agreement that this doesn't belong at a war, of course. But to continue what VACC was saying, the pistolsplat as a nerf conversion gun is essentially a pistol-sized maxshot with METAL internals instead of the plastic cocking mech, etc. It has just about the same range performance, too, so it's a perfect replacement. The recoil's about the same too, though it's a little more harsh due to the gun's shorter length, strangely shaped handle, yet equally beefy spring. So if you're an avid maxshot user, you might want to consider getting a few for the sake of having something to use when your MS dies. I'll tell ya, those pistolsplats are KILLER with a 2k turret...
Though I'll throw in there that we don't allow them in our spring pistol rounds because they get primary-esque ranges. Just more proof that size matters not.

Great job. I agree though, I wouldn't particpate in a war with one of those things in it. Doomsayers hurt enough as it is. I like the pump action breech idea, that is an Effeminate win. I need to make me one of those. They seem very versatile. I bet I could make one work with my pump shotty.
I think you have created the first "Nerf" gun that shoots 200ft+ consistently. I got 210ft out of a pump plugged BBBB once, but with a MASSIVE tail wind, a 2ft PETG barrel (found it in the trash
