Now I'm very sure that this topic has been posted before, but I not very sure if it will be in the detail that I will put it in to. Now when it comes to Nerf Wars, everybody needs their Nerf Guns, obviously. But what really counts is which guns you use. Of course, each person has a Primary: which is their most powerful gun and the most used one, a Secondary: their backup gun, and a Pistol: only if they want it, but it wouldn't be very necessary.

Now what I want to know is which gun combinations would be the best. So far, I have a near to fully modded Longshot, modded Firefly, Modded Strike-fire and a modded Vulcan.

Now with the Longshot, I have done many mods to it. I have removed all air restrictors, locks, reinforced the stock, replaced the catch plate spring, stretched the main spring, added a Recon spring, replaced the barrel with PVC, and made an extended magazine. I will eventually make a Longshot Angel Breech, once I get the brass and dermal too, and I will eventually integrate a Dart Tag Blaster (A.K.A. Dart Tag 10 Shot) on the front. And If the integration doesn't get in the way, I will make it into a pump action reload weapon.

As far as ranges go, I seriously have no f***ing idea. All of the Streamlines that I have are completely useless. My LS is so powerful, that the Streamlines spin out of control. I will eventually make Stefans for it. And with the Stefans, I estimate their ranges from 50-75 ft. And once I integrate the Angel Breech, they could probably go up to 90 ft!!! That'll happen as soon as I can find a place that actually has FBR. Those employees at OSH didn't even know what it was!

Next my Firefly. It has all AR's removed, stretched the main spring, an added Strike-fire sized spring, and an added Maverick Spring.

Ranges: 32 ft. with taggers and 35-37 feet with Vulcan Screamers. These will be the only darts that I will use for these types of guns. Those stupid glow darts sucked ass. But I am considering replacing my secondary with a Dart Tag Blaster.

Now my Strike-fire. I removed the AR and added a snipped Firefly spring in it. That that was a SERIOUS pain in the ass to get in. That f**ing spring kept on popping out and it took me a full 10 minutes just to close that pistol up!!! If you do not want to have a hard to with you Strike-Fire, then don't put in a more powerful spring. But If you are patient like me, you hard work will pay off.

Ranges: 25-30 ft. with taggers, and 30-37 feet with Vulcan Screamers.

Finally my Vulcan. I removed the AR, removed the AR stems from the chain and made a 50 round chain. Now with this gun, this thing was also stubborn. It took me a while to get it right. There were some times when I would load a single round, pulled the trigger, and the gun's catch plate wouldn't release. I had to open it at least 15 times to finally figure out that I had to adjust the catch plate spring.

Ranges: 29-33 ft. with tripod, 30-37 feet standing.

Dart Note: Many people say that Tagger Darts are the most versatile darts there are. You can mod ANY gun to use them. Some people say that they also go further too. But I discovered, thanks to my experiments that the Vulcan Screamers actually go even further than Taggers.

So that is it, except for these questions: Would it be better to have a Firefly or a Dart Tag blaster? What size of Brass should I use for the barrel extension for my Strike-fire? And should I remove the velcro tips from my Tagger Darts?

Thank you for reading.

Primary: Big salvo with cpvc barrels. It shoots stefans well. Very well. I get 100' and more. This gun is very worth to be my primary.

Secondary: Probably a L+l. Has all the basic mods. Barrel replacement. The works.

I usually just use one gun, but when i use more than one gun, i like to use a Modded 3k/2k/LS/or BBB with a barrel peg remove tek six(old style ) as a backup.Sadly i broke the tek 6 modding it, so i gotta save up and buy another.

For your first question, Would it be better to have a Firefly or a Dart Tag blaster?, I would have to say they are both alright guns. When cocking the Dart Tag blaster, it feels kind of weird because there is no stock. Anyways,

Primary: Usually My Longshot with AR removed, and added Recon spring

Secondary: my NF with AR removed and two NF springs

Nobody can tell you that. Figure it out on your own.
But first you will want to start making your own batches of stefans.

My suggestion is to use some air and spring guns. Don't have all springs. And stop stretching you're springs. They eventually go back to the original shape and loose their strength. Just add a new spring. I mean seriously they cost what like $2?

I use one of two combinations, depending on the requirements of the situation:

Light:
Longshot- primary
Maverick- sidearm

Heavy:
Vulcan- primary
Recon- sidearm

I always carry 4 clips, regardless of which combination i'm using. In most cases i'll use the light combination, as it's overall more comfortable to carry and run with. However, if I expect to need a lot of firepower, or to be on the defensive, i'll use the heavy set.

CaptainSlug posted in it. It's now worth reading...

...But seriously, the gun combination idea is a little different than which gun is better because there is room for discussion of how to balance primaries and secondaries.

Personally, it depends on the war and who I'm warring with. Usually I just carry a SM1500 and call it good. But if there are a lot of people and I'll need more firepower, I'll strap a MagStrike to my back and dual holster either short-barrelled quad AT2K's or SF's. If I want to just be quick and accomplish an objective, I'll just carry two SF's. It all depends. For those really special occasions, I'll put out one of my insane integrations and then put it away when everybody starts whining about how unfair it is.

Okey dokey, In my opinion, a good combo is with a primary, and a sidearm that makes up for the primary's short comings. For example, what ice did to his LS, I believe Split who said it, that the singled LS gets great range, but terrible reload time. That's where the DTG comes in. If you're about to be shot, I bet you would like a solid back-up to fend them off. Integrations work the same way. Big Blasts can get wicked ranges, but can have bad RoF. Integrate a Mav/DTG turret, and you're good. Some of my favorites are-
LS + Nitefinder
LS (Integrated LSFG)
LS (Integrated DTB)
Big Sally + Nitefinder
Singled BBBB + Mav
BnA + Nitefinder
BBB + AT2K
SNAPbow + Maverick
BBBBB (Integrated Mav)
Volley Titan + Nitfinder
Foam Sword + Ninja skill (Deflect darts, and go for a barrel tap!)
Anything + The Panic Button (BlastFire)
Anything + Grenade
Vulcan + Recon
Anything + Foam Knife (If you're playing CQC)

Depending on the type of game, I switch between my SM1500 and my Crossbow for my primary. The 1500 is a great hold-out weapon because I can afford to take a pot shot at someone and still have three more shots. The Crossbow gets great ranges, but I really have to rely on my team when I use it. It works best in pairs because one person takes a shot and reloads while the other covers him.

My secondary is my LnL 90% of the time. I occasionally keep my lightnin blitz at the ready in case I need to take a wild shot at someone rushing me or a group of people.

I'd even go with just a NF in some cases. Granted, my primaries were being destroyed by the heat and I had a team to back me up, but carrying the NF alone removed all speed limitations. I actually took out about 5 people that round.

First of all, I would just like to say that unless one grip primes both the DTB and the LS, you can't have a shotgun priming mech for the LS. I have done a shotgun grip on an LS with a mav integration and I am currently working on an ls with an AT10K (that's I call my customized AT2K tank, and it will make sense once I post all about it) integration and shotgun priming mech, but the DTB is just big to make a comfy shotgun grip for without priming both blasters with the same grip.

Now as for good combos, it depends on how you play. I don't like to carry too much crap (blaster-wise), but I am ok with carrying mags and stuff. I like to have good ROF but not amazing. The LS I'm working on will have a double 12 round mag (again, I'll explain later once I get the springs right) and the "grenade launcher" AT10K. That way, if I carry one extra mag, I will have 24 rounds on the blaster and 24 extra rounds, plus the six shot blast of the AT10K.

Anyway, like someone else said, use a secondary that makes up for the primaries shortcomings. If you're using a crossbow, use a splitfire or quadded AT2K as a backup. I could go on for hours with this, but you just need to determine your style of play and then find the blasters that work best for that style.

I would stick with just one type of dart in a war, i.e only stefans or only stock darts. Makes it less to carry, and less to keep track of.

A good beginner setup I use has a maverick for close range firepower, and a nitefinder for longer range. Both are cheap, and easy to mod.

Sidearm: Crazy-ass TTG.

I'm working on a new primary that will be almost identical to Black Sunshine's Stormbringer. That will be my new primary after I get it all finished up. My sidearm is usually a NF, and my primary at the moment is a magstrike.

Currently, PAS unisex coupler'd and 1st gen NF. PAS is going to be replaced with my new xbow once it gets here.
I sometimes strap a very minimized triple shot titan to my back. I keep it pumped and whip it out to counter a rush as both PAS and xbow are useless at countering those.

Yea, you're right. It would be a helluva lot better to carry just Stefans. Because, like I said before, my LS is too powerful for stock Streamlines, Taggers and Screamers don't go too far either. Thanks for the advice dude.

But I'm very sure that somebody has already thought of the way that I would want to make Stefans. My idea is to combine the ways ForsakenAngel_24 and Uin13's (As he is known as on Youtube) way of making darts, and make them 2" long.

Ok seriously use the edit button. There is no need to double post, let alone triple post unless you are bumping your own sale's thread. The admins really don't like this stuff, obey the CoC and you will last a while here.
