Okay I have had a my PAS shotgun for about 3 weeks now and about 2 weeks ago I went over to Ice’s house and we modded it together, but he or I never made a write-up for it so I am doing that now. So thanks Ice.

Ok first off what you want to do is open the gun up and remove the plunger tube, it looks just like a piece of thin walled PVC (not sure on the size though). Then remove the plunger rod and remove the brown latch thing on it. Then add a spring/springs to it. Mine has a Longshot spring added to the stock spring.


Then at the top of the plunger tube remove the hug ass ball shooter and just through it away, you won’t need it at all. Then take off the brown funnel that was underneath that. Next saw a CPVC coupler half way then hot glue around the coupler and shove that in the back of brown funnel piece.


Then just take a ½ PVC coupler and hot glue that on the top of the brown funnel like so, , I then wrapped it in E-tape.

Now since you have to reinforce the trigger with spring. So what we got the catch spring and the little spring from the orange nub in the back of a Longshot front gun and put that behind the trigger as well and getting a spring from I think a strikefire and glue that under the trigger.


When it was assembeled it was really damn loud so I decided it needed to be silenced.



Also added foam to the plunger cap.


So after that’s all done you should have a really good Pump action shotgun. Since it has PVC and CPVC coupler is can accept any kind of barrel now! The ranges are about 100 feet; it is very cold where I live now so in the summer it would do much better. I will have ranges in about 2 hours.

Vey, very nice.

This is the sort of mod I adore, simply because of the versitility. I'm one of those guys who switch between foam brand/barrel material constantly, so this is pretty near damn ingenious.

Removing dead space+actually doing something creative with it=Win.

It's not just a coupler, It's a UNISEX barrel. Do you not see the sex in it's name?

On topic: Nice, clean mod. Splitlip is right though, there is a lot of threads about this.

It's not like you even had to do any work. The Sch.40 PVC coupler slides over the plunger cap. You didn't even secure it well, you used hot glue and tape. It's not that big a deal, you did basic mods to a PAS, which have been done before and will be done again.

And just for the record, Icespartan_1114 had nothing to do with the barrel system, as he left before it was finished. Modding it "together" was not what happened.

I had to redo the coupler cause they feel off. To Wes, the coupler is held on with super glue, hot glue, and etape.

I have modified many guns using this, as us canadians have to switch our barrel material if we plan on nerfing outdoors in the winter. I usually cut the CPVC coupler in half, glue it in the PVC one so the back is flush, and glue that to whatever gun I am using. I have a 2k, a PAS, a NF, and a BBBB modified this way. In other words, nothing really new. GOod job anyways

The coupler will continue to fall off. Whoever was responsible for the mod. Bad choice in adhesives. none will hold up under stress that a coupler will endure with the adding and removal of barrels over time. Try epoxy. Specifically for plastics.

The kind of CPVC couplers I use fit perfectly inside a PVC coupler. I just shove a CPVC coupler in the back of a PVC coupler and use that on the gun. It works very well, I think I get the couplers at either Home Depot or ACE hardware, I can't remember (you saw the CPVC coupler in my PVC one at the war last week, didn't you?)

This solves the problem of darts not fitting in the winter. My dart fit superb in CPVC, but when it's warmer, PETG is best. I must try on my PAS. When I get it, of course. For Christmas.
