Well, I've never done a cpvc'd longshot mod, but from what I've heard, I'd say you have to reinforce the cache mechanism spring if you added springs because if it's too strong the cache won't hold from the force.
That's not entirely true. My LS has a LS spring and a Nitefinder spring in it. I've had it for about ten months and neither the bolt sled nor the catch show any signs of wearing.

Same here, if you can just cut down anything that might be limiting how far back you plunger rod goes. If it still doesn't catch try posting some pics, or even .... drum roll .... searching, as Tantum Bull said.Are you sure your plunger rod moves back far enough for it to catch? That happend to me the first time I tried, and it wasnt making it to the catch.
