... the plastic of these clear variants is much softer than that of their colored brethren. While trying to open the cylinder up to remove the ARs, I noticed white stress lines beginning to form at the tip of the cylinder.

I was going to PETG mine, using PETG for obvious reasons. So, I go with slowguitarman, because, after all, you can deny it as much as you want, but nerfing is about fun B) , and if you have fun looking at a toy in a box, do that, if you have fun PLAYING WITH THE DAMN THING, then mod it. ;)

However imagine the things you could do with a couple of Led's. Could become a show piece if it was done right.
