The kids on Youtube keep asking me how to remove the air restrictors out of the buzz bee shells. There are two kinds of shells. The easy kind has only a post, but the hard kind has the post, a spring, and a ring of plastic. Here are 6 easy steps for taking out the restrictors. Take that Buzzbee!

You will need these:

-flat head screwdriver
-pliers
-paperclip
-soldering iron
-drill
-hammer

Step 1

Drill out the post from the back of the shell.

Step 2

Using a paperclip, hook the spring and pull it out from the back.

Step 3

Stick the flat head in the front of the shell and flip the plastic ring sideways.

Step 4

Burn a hole through the plastic ring with the soldering iron.

Step 5

Hammer out the plastic ring as far as it will go.

Step 6

Pull out the plastic ring with pliers.

It should look like this now. Ranges increase up to 10 - 15 ft.

You can paint the shells, but do not paint the inside of the clip or they will get stuck. The clip stays in the gun without the button, and it is much easier to remove without it. (thanks UberKuhlMan, I learned that one from your video)

Here is another area to avoid painting. The shells can get stuck in the gun if you do.

The finished Buzz Bee Rifle. I hope ebay does not ban it this time.

I drilled out the back of a shell I had. The range actually got worse. Any reason why? Also, can you do this mod without a soldering iron? I forgot to add that I only drilled the shell and removed the peg, nothing else.

Yeah I'll usually just grab my 17/32 drill bit and just drill it out from top to butt with no regard for the law.

The shells have a small rim around the hole in the back that keeps a constant seal with the rubber gasket on the Rapid Fire Rifle(Or any Buzzbee shell user for that matter.) If you drill the entire butt out it wrecks the seal and the air pressure is thrown.

November 28, 2008 1:02 Mod/Paintjob thread:
Timmytown: Thank you for taking care of that idiot VACC, fine fine work. (no pic)
VACC: Are you fucking retarded? Goodbye.

How's that for funny Timmytown?
It's like VACC was up early wishing me a happy birthday!

This is just what I needed! I pulled out the posts from my Doubleshot shells, and now the range sucks. If I do this it should work better...nice mod autonerf, sweet paint job also.
