First of all I would like to thank you who ever validated me to be on this awesome forum (: . I didn't know which section this should be in so change it to the right section if wrong please.Anyways , i would like to say that being in Canada stinks ( Well actually not really, its just shipping from United States is gay. ) About 3 days ago ( Saturday) i ordered some Foam Backer Rod from Best Materials in a 800 ft roll. I also ordered felt discs and 8-32 washers from McMaster - Carr, to make some Captain Slug darts. So far they haven't sent me anything bad about the shipment. Then came the bad part. This morning McMaster - Carr sent me an email saying :

Thank you for your order. Unfortunately, due to the ever increasing complexity of United States export regulations, McMaster-Carr will only process orders from a few long-established customers in Canada. We sincerely regret any inconvenience this causes you.

Thank you,

So i pretty much have 800 ft of foam . I was wondering was there anybody who lives in Canada and had this problem?
If so please tell me , i don't want to have 800 ft of foam for nothing .
Thank you very much.

Yeah, Mcmaster-carr does not ship to Canada. If you need stuff from them, someone in the US has to buy it and ship it to you.

McMaster-Carr won't ship anything outside of the United States unless you have an open account and you've been ordering from them for quite a while.
This is something you could have asked them before ordering.

To get products from them you'd have to go through a third party. Either something willing to forward the items, or someone who works for a company in Canada that has an open account with McMaster-Carr.

The little critters of nature, they don't know that they're ugly. That's very funny, a fly marrying a bumble bee. I told you I'd shoot, but you didn't believe me. Why didn't you believe me?

You could have it sent to me, Seattle is pretty close to Canada. Shipping could be cheaper then sending it californi-way.

Damn it Foamfoot. Why is it that you kill every good topic with a retarded response a few days late.
