I called Ace Hardware and asked them if they carried brass couplers. Their answer was yes. Then I asked them if they had a coupler that would fit 17/32 brass, and then she became confused, and hung up.

So I want to know what size coupler I should pick up at Ace, that would fit 17/32 brass. It would be ideal if the coupler could also fit in a 1/2 inch, PVC coupler.

You could do what everyone else does and use a pvc coupler and nest the brass inside pvc

I could, and I was thinking about doing this. The problem with that idea, is that I'm using a speedloader, so I'd have to buy another foot of brass, to put inside the other piece of pvc. And I don't want to spend anymore money on buying brass, and paying for shipping, because no one around me sells brass. Thanks for the idea though.

That reasoning makes zero sense. If you are using a speedloader made of brass, you should already have two brass barrels. Either way, you will have much less trouble by using PVC with PVC couplers. The type of coupler you would need for brass is a slip coupler, and metal to metal has very little friction, so your barrel wouldn't stay in. Also, I personally have never seen brass couplers, so the only way I can think of the make one would be to get the next size up of brass and use it. This wouldn't work though because, as I said, the barrel will slide right out and would also make you buy more brass, which you will need to do anyway, if you want to use a speedloader.

Simple. Take a small peice (< or = to 1") of 9/16 brass and secure it to the end of the plunger tube, then take your barrel length of 17/32 and slide it in the 9/16. To use simply slide it out, put a dart in the back of it and put it back in.

Those couplers aren't for the type of brass we use. Thee are no such thing as a brass coupler except for what Kyrativ said.

I'm using an air gun (big blast). That sounds like a good idea, thanks! Now all I need is 1 inch of 9/16th brass.

Yeah, but that wouldn't really work because you'd have to hold your barrel as the 17/32 brass will easily fall out. If you put a nub of PVC on the back of the piece of brass, then you couplered your Big Blast with a PVC coupler, it'd be much more steady...

That'd be bad because the 17/32 would fall out easily and isn't protected.

That is why Nerfers use E-Tape. If you put one wrap on the barrel, friction will hold it in place. Although the barrel itself will not be protected. 10" of PVC and some E-Tape can fix that.

Nerfers sometimes also try to know what they're talking about before posting (I guess it probably doesn't happen all that much, honestly). Wrap any amount of etape around 17/32" and try to put it into 9/16" brass. Actually you can't. 17/32" and 9/16" form a perfect fit. That's why the angel breech is airtight. There is no good, solid solution to this problem other than PVC couplering it.
