It's really sad. I just wanted you to know what happens when you run into Wal-Mart on Black Friday screaming, "Must have Air Tech 3000 Twin Pack!" and some temporary worker trying to open the doors gets trampled and killed and you could possibly be charged with something.

Edit: Thanks badger, I just skimmed the article, unlike you who read every single word.

What's better is the fact that your information is a bit off. The worker that got killed was a temporary worker hired from an agency, not a regular Wal-Mart employee. He wasn't trying to supress the crowd, but was simply opening the front doors. When the crowd surged through, braking the doors and overpowering the employees on the other side, he got trampled. Also, no one has been arrested and they can't be charged with murder as there was no intent to kill, nor was the intent of anyone in the mob to get to the sales, regardless of the threat to human life. At most they would be charged with manslaughter, but it will be impossible to tell who dealt the fatal blow, so more than likely, it will be very difficult to charge anyone with any crime. Over a dozen other people also feel in the stampede.

Anyone that went to a Wal-Mart after this incident was reported had to have noticed that you couldn't go through the front doors, but only through one of the side doors.

Hmm... Thought I read every post... Oh well this deserves its own thread so we can talk about over-excited bargain hunting Nerf nerds wanting AT3K Twin Packs enough to kill someone.

Or we can let this one die since there is also a thread that talks about the person that died. There is no need for a topic about this. Most of the deals out there sucked and the stores were nowhere near as crowded as the previous two years, so save for this one tragic incident, there shouldn't be much to talk about.

Add to the fact that this topic was spawned out of your failure to read all the threads about this subject matter and that BF horrors have been mentioned in the other topics as well, this one is redundant.
