Why is the streamline head so flat?

I cut the tops off the streamlines to prevent some of the loopiness; I'm not sure how much it does exactly but it seems superior to the stock darts.

Yes, I believe you are on crack.

What is so unbelievable about those measurements? It has a diameter of about 7/8", a length of about 4", and a wire thickness of about 0.08".

EDIT: D'oh, thanks for clearing that up. By the way, I noticed that those measurements are all the same as a Handyman #9713 spring, even the coils per inch look the same.

BustaNinja asked in an earlier post what spring I used, and if he was on crack or not. Splitlip followed with a reply quoting my original post where I listed the dimensions of the spring that I was using and affirmed that he was, indeed, on crack.

Unfortunately, I had already packed the Frankenfinder and associated parts by the time I saw your post, and now that I'm back in my dorm in Chicago, all the stoves are electric. It's not a total loss though, since I gave it its first real battle test today during our study break. I was using it against a room mate (AR modded Recon with stock spring added), another room mate using my BBB, and a friend in the dorm using my Angel-modded Magstrike.

The Frankenfinder performs beautifully indoors especially in the narrow hallways. In the open lounge area I was able to hit people pretty consistently from wall to wall, which equates to about forty-five feet. Reloading was a little bit difficult but it was much faster than the Recon and Magstrike, and its a fault my Crossfinder could help. The splayed-out Manta shield performed well when I used it; I was able to block a decent number of shots per clip on the Magstrike and the Recon shots were even easier. The BBB was slightly more difficult though, since it the shots it fired had a lot more speed, but ducking down was still a pretty easy solution to that.

I'm really pleased with this gun, especially indoors; before I left Los Angeles it was hitting seventy-five constantly with fairly tight stefans, which was basically what I was hoping for. Indoors, however, the gun is a beast; it's intimidating (especially to those who just borrow our stock-ish guns to play every so often), it's powerful, it's accurate, and the shield portion was a great help. Right now, I don't have a ton of revisions for the design, but eventually, when I (hopefully) make it out to one of the SoCal wars, I can test this gun in different conditions and find out if anything else is needed.
