Why is Canada's and the U.S. thanksgiving a month apart? Why don't we have it on the same day? Well anyways, eh Happy Thanksgiving!

I had a more traditional feast. Note that there is MUCH MUCH more than pictured, we got a 23-pound turkey and made 13 pounds of dressing (yes we weighed it).

Why does it matter?

I believe the difference has to primarily do to the end of the farming season. It ends earlier in Canada ( because of climate, I presume ) than it does in the States. Because of this the "thanks giving" for a good harvest season took place earlier in Canada.
