One type of nerf war that my friends and I play is called "Silent Savior". It is played indoors and with almost pitch black light conditions. Two people armed with good rof, and okay range guns hide in a room with a "hostage". The "Silent Savior" is armed with a good rof, good accuracy, and good range gun (longshot), and a good sidearm (L n'L). The "Silent Savior" is also equipped with NVG's attached to their head via head-strap thing. The "Silent Savior" has to Silently get inside, take out the two "bad people" and get the hostage outside in under 5:00 minutes. Everyone accept the "Silent Savior" (and the hostage) has low-powered flashlights. One of the main keys to the game is to be "Silent" (hint hint) and take out the "bad people" quickly and quietly. Anyway, My point is that my L'nL (Chainblazer spring replaced, new barrel, FBR noise reduction.) makes way too much noise when in either my holster or in my hands. The spring is a bit to short and can get quite noisy banging around in there. I know I did not really have to say the whole thing about how I play my nerf games, but I thought I could also count as a contribution of a new game type. My main point in posting this was to seek info on how to remove the spring rattling (without stretching the spring).

Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. And please, no flames.

Thanks,

You could extend where the spring touches, normally it would be at the back where it would touch. But if you add putty or somthing and extend the shell forward. I'm not particularly certain this could work, but its worth a try.

Make a ring of FBR aand attach the sides with hot glue, then just slip it under the spring and your done, it also helps reduce noise a bit.

Thanks so much guys. Im using rokor's idea which was to make a ring of FBR and attach it to the back of the spring with hot glue. I'm pretty sure it will work. I will post pictures of what I did later when I can find a camera to computer cable.

EDIT: I did it and it worked perfectly! :) Thanks so much.
