Whenever I pump air rushes out of the butt of the airtank by the base of the firing pin. I have no idea how to fix this. Help?

How's that for funny Timmytown?

You can also try throwing away your AT2K and getting a new one. Bending the firing pin on any air tank is a good way to develope leaks. Definitely not recommended.
It looks like he replaced the firing pin (is that possible?) with a nail.

To fix that: use two pliers and bend the firing pin between them. It prevents the bent from damaging the tank.

Don't know if anyone's ever done that, but that is the stock firing pin, it does look a bit like a nail, but that's how its supposed to look.
I'm amazing at Forza3! I destroyed the engine of a 2mil C car by downshifting! YAY!

True story. It helps as long as the cable/whatever you have pulling it is pulling straight back (perpendicular to the plane that is the base of the tank). You can also try throwing away your AT2K and getting a new one. True story. If that pin is moved at all from from being perpendicular with the tank, air will leak like crazy.

When I bent it I used 2 sets of pliers.
It had slight pin-leakage problems before but even bending it, as careful as I was, it seemed to exacerbate the problem. I bent it because had no idea how else to remotely pull the firing pin.
Lesson learned: Figure out how to pull the pin perpendicular to the tank WITHOUT bending the pin.
For now, any solutions to this problem that dont involve me scrapping the at2k and trying to rip it out of the epoxy putty?

I would say it is recommended. Especially when dealing with integrations, when you need something big in a small place. But you need to do it very carefully.
I do this method with two sets of pliers. One set closer to the base. This will make sure the pin near the air tank stays straight. The other set near the middle. This method has proved to be 85% effective.
I don't feel the way I used to do.
I know its bad,
After what we had,
But I’m just not the angel you knew.
