I just received my NIB At2k today and was very eager to open it up. When I did, I found that there was no fat little o-ring where I thought there was supposed to be one (In the first half of the turret).

This picture is from Uncle Hammer's At2k writeup. Link

The pictures below are of my turret. There is no o-ring in it. Even though I had realized this the second I pulled white piece out of the back of the turret, I still checked everywhere and could not find it on the ground or in the shell of the gun. The turret turns perfectly too.

Once again, It was completely NIB before I opened it up, about one hour before I took these pictures

Thanks in advance to anyone who contributes any helpful tips.

Of the 15 at2k's I've bought at Big Lots in the past 3 months, none of them have had the O-ring.

No worries.

That O-ring is really unnecessary. You can just put a ring of hot glue around the tank stem if you want. You can easily pull it out later, but it will give you a better seal than even the O-ring could (which doesn't do a whole lot).

Thanks for the great advice. I didn't realize it before, but it looks like the o-ring serves almost no purpose.

Newer Airtech 2000 models do not include the o-ring. I used to freak out when I couldn't find an o-ring that wasn't there.

That o- ring looks very similar to the one on the pump. If you REALLY wanted one on there, you could always take one off of the pump of another.

No you can't.

The pump's o-ring is nearly 2x the size of the turret's.
