Ok well just like the title says, I have a question about the RF20 air bladder.
Yes I searched for it and even asked splitlip about it so here goes.
How many pumps does can I put into the bladder without it blowing up?
If anyone can answer this thanks alot, and im sorry if this is in the wrong topic.

Sorry it's just the bladder there is no case. So which means the overpressure valve is useless.

Thanks

You can't explode the bladder because there's a pin that releases pressure after a certain number of pumps.

I usually stop around 20-22 pumps, just enough to fire all the shots off. It doesn't matter if you pump it more because the pressure stays constant no matter how much air you put in it, so your ranges won't improve anyway. Figure out how many pumps it takes to completely fire off the turret and that's the number you should give it.

I usually use 25, I think I've gone as high as 30 without the OPV going off (mine's stock).

I plugged the overpressure vaulve on mine, so I could fire two clips (I "clipped" it) without having to pump in-between. The highest I have gone up to without pissing myself was 70 pumps. The thing sounds like a chain-gun at that pressure, and ROF almost doubles.

I WOULD NOT GO OVER 50 ON A REGULAR BASIS!!!!

Mine broke recently, and I haven't gotten around to fixing it. It might be because I had gotten it up to such a high pressure multiple times, or perhaps because I left it in the below-freezing temperatures of the attic for over a year......who knows?

Hope this helped!

My RF20 goes up to about 27 pumps before the pressure relief valve becomes audiable. Anything higher just wears out the pump faster and is a waste of time and energy. Either way, I always pump it to the max to keep extra pressure in case I need it later. It's also a habit developed from years of water gun fighting.

The material of the bladder itself is rated to 500PSI. The Nylon fittings however are rated to 150PSI. The stock pump can only fill the stock bladder to about 60PSI.
The points of failure involved are the end caps of the bladder not being secure, or using a hose clamp without padding, causing it to cut into the bladder.

Also, FA24 pumped his 80 times:

I tired something like this once on my rf20. It'll just leak all that presure out.

Edit- Apparently this question was already answered.
