Down to business, In this corner, sitting at 2 1/2 ft long, nearly 4 1/2 pounds, my SNAPbow...
Posted Image

I think this is the first handle of its kind on a SNAPbow, correct me if I'm wrong.
Posted Image

Its a 1 1/4 inch PVC T cut down and a 1 1/4 cut down end cap attached via screws.
Posted Image

It has a carbon style plunger head, I couldn't find a +bow spring so I have 3 rather dense hardware store springs.

Ranges are somewhere between 125-130' flat.

Questions? Comments? Concerns?

I lubed it again and again, I don't see what an extra 2 centimeters does. I don't think I will cut it off.

I had a temporary one on earlier that I bought at a dollar store and the cheap piece of shit broke. I have to go get new clothespins tomorrow.

Looks nice. But yeah, where's the trigger? Also, couldn't you just post it in the other SnapBow thread? Or even in the Homemade Picture sticky?

People have been posting lots of pics in the writeup thread. How long is your plunger stroke? That thing looks frakking huge. You could make your life easier by using a 1 1/4" plug with an appropriately sized hole in it for the back. ~Rork

The plunger draws back nearly 12 inches. And I probably could have done that easier but this was built out of scrap pvc I had laying around, and all I had were end caps.

Thats pretty awesome. I love the jacket in the first pic by the way :D.
I am going to make a snapbow pretty soon, though it is gonna cost me a fortune, as my local hardware store only sells PVC in 10 foot sections. So I have to buy 10ft of each. Sucks.

Yeah my Dad bought that in Canada when he was drunk. He couldn't quite remember why he bought it, buried it in the garage, then I found it.

My hardware store does that as well. They're nice though and cut it up into 1 ft sections. Think on the bright side, with all the excess pipe, if you put your own twist on them you could create a competing SNAPbow sales thread.

In my experience, 10' sections tend to be cheaper than 5' sections; pvc is cheaper than dirt. Most of your money will go toward fittings, hardware, and springs.

Nice job Vista seriously now I can probably believe ranges on this monster. Clean too. Are you going to put that 2K integration on it? And finally a bit off topic did you ever get that McMaster foam? PS: Did you glue the stock on  we don't want it breaking again do we?

Yes the 2k integration is going on, after it comes out of surgery. (see my 2k mod) All parts are screwed into place this time not hot glued.

And no I found that if I stretched my foam it became denser and smaller.

My next SNAPbow (Probably my thanksgiving break project) will definately not feature this handle. I dislike 90* handles with a passion. But I do believe that we should outfit BIFC with a SNAPbow each. You and I will be making them, obviously.

BIFC? And I consider you no more than an asset to the clan until you begin to sport the correct location.
