[Foam Shooter]

What do you all think of the new Gears of War. Last night there were some server issues but it has been resolved this morning. I bought it last night at 10:00 and played a couple hours of online. I then woke up this morning and played it from noon to nine in campaign. I ended up beating it in the end. The game was very fun with only a few glitches. If you don't have it yet I would suggest getting it. Anyone else have any opinions?

All in all the game was awesome!
I was a little sad not to see a single Beserker though.
I beat the game this afternoon.
Awesome storyline with enough left for a Gears of war 3.

I played Gears 2 at a LAN party on Saturday. 9 hours of gaming, 11 PM to 7 AM (not all were gaming).

Played single player for an hour. Then I played co-op for 4 hours straight.

I'm a changed man. Its like getting out of Port Authority for the first time, and walking dazed into the city, except in a small room.

All I can say is, I love it, and can't wait till Gears 3.

Edit: After reading Nerfnut had 2 Red Bulls, I think I crashed cuz I had 4 Bawls.

I plan on getting it soon. Loved the first one, although I didn't actually play much. (not much = like 50 hours lol)

I played for 8 hours straight, until I beat it on Hard, after which I walked into my room, literally fell on my bed, slept for 3 hours, then played until I fell asleep on the controller, and immediately after I woke up, typed this. Lack of Beserkers sucked, I know, but that is my only quall about this game. Other than that, I'm sure to get flamed for this, far superior to Halo in every way. And enough plot left for Gears of War 3.




And P.S., I didn't fall asleep due to boredom, it was due to a crash from 2 Red Bulls.

Excellent game so far. I haven't beat it yet by myself because well, I'm skipping around in both campaign and Hoard. Took me 5 hours straight with me and two friends to beat all 50 waves of hoard. But it was totally awesome. Multi-player has changed a bit with the new weapons and features, but its just as fun as the first one, but with no host advantage. And it is better than Halo, in almost every way conceivable.

Honestly, I didn't miss the Berserkers. Not once did I go, "Where are the Berserkers?"

Mainly because, I think the Hammer of Dawn is a cheesy weapon. "Here, a personal orbital satellite. Instead of hitting a huge area, we're going to make it pinpoint on single enemies, pretty much..."

That's why I didn't really miss the Berserkers.

I was VERY impressed with the Campaign. It was non stop adrenaline rush. Granted, it makes it seem a little cheesy that 4/5 man Delta Squad can infiltrate the Locust and kill thousands of them...

I just finished the game, Act 2 up till the end in one sitting.


SPOILERS BELOW.

I'm very curious to see if we find out more about the Sires, where the Locust come from, why the Queen looks so... Human... and we'll obviously find out about Marcus' father in the next game. Also. The whole Maria scene... a Boltok. Seriously? It seemed so... I mean, she WAS alive... but I guess he did it because of what they saw happen to Tai. She went though the same thing... so I guess Marcus was right. Oh well.

I was the first in line the day it came out. This game was/is awesome. It could have used more plot, but other than that its great. Wtf was up with the sires?

BEST FUCKING GAME EVER!! Well, so far. I love it. Great game. I like the new weapons, and there is a lot to come in Gears 3. Beat it on Hardcore last night, I'm going to do Insane soon.

It's a great game.

The campaign was fun.

But I have to say I kinda hate some of the levels. The level "security" is the worst game I've ever played.

Atleast they brought back Gridlock and Canals. And I love the chainsaw battles.

I just played it at my friend's house. It's awesome, I especially appreciated the shields you can pick up and use to block bullets. The storyline is good too...just a great game all around.

I liked the first Gears, but the second is just amazing. Second only to the Halo games to me. They really fixed up damn near every problem with the first one, and then added a ton of other new stuff on top of it.

Although I did miss the Kryll a little bit. The razor hail definitely made up for it.
I just finished beating it on the 3rd hardest difficulty.

Theres a little tip, Sit through the 15+ minutes of credits after you beat the game.
There is a little something at the very end. I can only assume you enjoy the full thing once you beat the game on insane.

I thought this was just common knowledge.

I plan on doing it CoOp on Insane with a buddy sometime this weekend, so if it's anything different, I'll let you all know.

Buy the game yourself, then play the game.

I beat it on Insane tonight, not too hard. It's easy if you do CoOp and your buddy is on casual, while youa re on insane. Anyone want to team up for some wingman?
