Back when I was 12, I used to search youtube and other video sites for hours, then one day I decided to type in nerf. I then found this http://www.metacafe....rf_gun_hack.swf I tried the mod, then continued to search for nerf mods until I found Nerfhaven

Every year, my church youth group has an overnight at this big sports club. Somebody brought a bunch of nerf guns, and the whole night was spent running like mad, grabbing for ammo, and generally having an awesome time. I got a nite finder afterwards, and I'm getting a Mav soon. I'm hooked. B)

An AT2K twin Pack on clearance at Target. That fifteen dollars kicked it off. I loved them. I still have them, but they both leak sadly. I'll fix that soon.

What inspired you to nerf. My inspiration was this man right here -----> . After that I searched nerf on youtube untill i stumbled upon Forsaken Angel, and thats how it all started. anyway, the main reason of this thread is becuase I want to know how it all started for you.

I had a Tornado (yes-yes... ancient) which I fooled around with, then forgot about until a few years later, when I went to my friend's B-day Party, where he bought everyone a NF. We all fooled around with them, and we soon all figured out that they sucked. When I was looking around to fix it, I discovered the Haven, which I was stalking around for 2 years. I then got a LS, a FF, and the Strike-Fire (DT) set. I saw a bunch of mods for the LS, and tried my own, but when I opened mine up, I almost broke the entire thing.

I found the courage to open it up again, and I was successful!

Since then, Nerf has been my favorite hobby. Ever.

Last year my class went to DC for a 3-day field trip. The teacher had us play assassin which resulted in a trip to TRU for some guns. That's when I got my recon. When I got home, out of boredom I started doing web searches for nerf guns, and somehow fond out about the haven, and after that hq.

Almost a year ago, I started a thread just like this one. The link for it is, here. I'm listing it here because there are some interesting posts from some members who are big and some who have gone on/forgotten about this place.

Like some other people, the first time I modified a nerf gun, a tek 6, was in a high school nerf war (assassin) game. I also had an eagle eye when I little, but it wasn't very good, and super loud. I was probably like 6 at the time.

On a side note, s3an967 and Puppy-§layer. Really? I don't know for sure, but judging from your signatures, I'd guess you're both 13. Or less. C'mon.

My Effeminate return to the 'haven from my like a billion year school trauma.

Anywho, when i was really little, like 3 or 4. I was still being potty trained, so my parents bought an SM1.5K. Aw man i loved that thing, but i could only use after i used the bathroom. Then i was allowed to use it for a half and hour and then my parents returned it to the unreachable enigmatic depths of the top of the refridgerator.

Since then, i was obsessed. Until i moved to England, then Switzerland, then Singapore. The time difference since my sm1.5k and my max exodus was about a year. So when i finally moved back to America where i went into a toys' r' us and saw that trinity unit power complete swuaqron onslaught thing. I was struck, i bought it, it broke, i returned it, i bought a DTG set, i had fun. 3 years later im modding the crap out of my collection thanks to all around nice guy, Zack Scott.

So yeah, its fun.

I was hanging out at a friend's house playing video games when he showed me a Longshot and a Maverick he'd just picked up recently. I was blown away by the over-the-top faux-badass nature of a dart gun that loaded from clips (imagine if my first serious exposure had been the Vulcan!). I was fascinated. We played through Streets of Rage and I proceeded to shoot up the credits sequence with the Maverick. My friend told me about how he'd read on the Internet that some people conducted "nerf wars" with these blasters and suggested I pick one up. A couple weeks later, I picked up a Firefly. It took us a while to actually do anything with the blasters, but eventually we conducted a small skirmish (him, myself, and another friend of ours). I came to these forums and started lurking; after discovering how simple and effective some modifications were (like AR removals and such), I went back to that friend and asked if he had a Dremel tool lying around. We found one and I eagerly tore away at my Nitefinder, handily removing the AR. We then spent the rest of the night popping ARs out of our until-then stock blasters. I got through my Nitefinder, my Firefly, and my Recon; we tried to mod one of his Mavericks but failed, and now it doesn't work at all, and he managed to resuscitate his Recon from a near-death experience when he broke through the side of its bolt while trying to pound out the AR with a screwdriver. (We decided it was best not even to touch his Longshot's internals.) And a good time was had by all.

Well, it all started with me and a bunch of my friends playing manhunt at a birthday party. We were obsessed with COD4 at the time, so the questions ran through our head "what if we could play manhunt with guns?"

So then we all remembered seeing several Nerf commercials on TV and made a trip to walmart the next day. I bought a Recon hoping to get a good RoF gun with long range, what a mistake.

After realizing the Recon sucked balls, I wanted to make it better and found Nerfhaven; sadly through Ice's videos. Then it snowballed into my current obsession.

I believe that I was first exposed to the addicting effects of NERF when I was around 7 years old. My friend had an AT3K, although I didn't know it was called that way back then. Sadly those didn't have darts so we never got to use them. The first guns we actually used for their original purpose where Mavericks.

Me and my friends were playing cops and robbers, and he pulled out a Mav. Intrigued, I dug up my 8th birthday party presents, 1 LS, a Crossfire, and a Scout. I started looking for modding videos, found ice's , started with a NF, then bought a LS from my brother for $5. And now everyone fears me in my neighborhood.

It started out a couple years ago at CiCi's pizza where Zippy765 and I saw a LongShot commercial (OMGZ NERF SNIPERZ), made a trip or two to Wal-Mart, and ended with a roomful of drunken teenagers running around with a couple LongShots, a FireFly, 3 Mavericks, and a NiteFinder.

Before all that though, I had two SS1's and an ArrowStorm.

Ever since i was little i had loved Nerfing ,me and my brother had two of each gun an eagle eye and splitfire and many other random guns like wildfire and lightning blitz. We had occasional nerf wars, but then they collected dust in my brothers for the next 6-7 years, untill i randomly searched nerf and found countless amounts of mods. I then got all the nerf guns my brothers room and started to see how to mod them. I saw countless amount of videos from CaptainSlug and ForsakenAngel24 pretty much advertising Haven. I then decided to get a nightfinder. Modded it and then it developed from there. I had started re-liking nerf about 2-3 months ago, trying lots of mods since then.

It all started when I looked through the toys section at Target and a shocking revelation hit me: Nerf guns are dirt cheap. I bought a Maverick. By happy coincidence, a friend of mine had a couple of Mavericks and a Longshot. Several impromptu wars erupted over the next week, which were a blast.

Something else happened simultaneously - I stumbled upon Angle's Lancer by accident, which lead me to the Haven. I started digging through the modifications and wars directories

It didn't take long before something clicked in my brain: that nerf combines engineering, guns, and organized sports, all for a low-low cost (relative to paintball and airsoft).

About a year ago I signed up to play HvZ and bought a maverick for the game. I got really good with it and then it jammed on the last mission and I died. Don't feel too bad though I had a zombie literally leap onto my back so I liked that death. Pissed off at the maverick I decided to mod it. Friend of mine got me a nightfinder and away I went. Now I am the mod god of HvZ at my school and feared for my guns, too much fun.

My friend got me interested while he was at school in Tempe, he lost interest by the time he got back and I was a member here and had plans. Unlike him, it was not a fad for me.

I plan on getting more into the hobby over my longer breaks from school.

I had a stock longshot, and I wanted to see if I could buy more darts (my target was out), so I searched up nerf on google, and found the haven. That was a while ago though, I had been browsing for about a year before I turned 13, then, almost one week after my thirteenth birthday, I aplied to be on the site.
