OK i was just down stairs modding and shooting my stefans with my LBB and missed my target, hit a wall and the tip broke and that's happened a lot and has happened to my CDTD's. How do you stop that from happening.

Sputnik, your link doesn't work.

The tips of stefans can break when shot at something hard from a powerful blaster, especially when it is cold. The only thing you can do about it besides not shooting in this way is to use matchstick darts.

Anyone who Nerfs should know this. (I Just got back from a war, I left early because I couldn't feel my feet) But in cold, your tips will shatter if they are shot at anything hard. All today, we were hearing darts shatter from the cold. And it wasn't extremely cold, but it still affects the darts. anything below 50 degrees and your darts get really brittle. Even at 60, its pushing it.

I have this problem too. It is because a BBBB is very high powered, and the impact of the hot glue, which is somewhat brittle, against the wall will shatter the tip. If you want to shoot at something, try taping a DTG vest to the wall and shoot at that. That should prevent darts shattering.

Yeah, I can't even begin to count the amount of times that happened today. I was at the war with BustaNinja, and we were playing a game on a playground. The stefan's tips are no match for extremely hard metals and plastics which the playground is built out of. It was really funny with the slug darts though because when they broke they almost looked as if they were splitting in half since the washer and felt would go flying in the other direction than the foam.

Yeah, usually my darts only come apart after numerous firings from a high-powered gun at a hard object at close range. But the cold decimated them so as to break them with one shot from a NF.

The tip of felt+washer stefans will come off if you shoot a wall at close range from a blaster that is otherwise capable of shooting beyond 100 feet.

Oh this is interesting. I am having an issue of tips flying off of darts, without hitting anything mind you. Its usually only in highpowered airguns IE: Titan, SM1.5k, SM5k etc.

I shoot a dart, the foam flops out, and the hot glue tip goes soaring (with astounding accuracy mind you) towards the target. This is kind of cool because it works like a real bullet but it gets rather annoying when the darts are no longer usable.
