So I was randomly on foam universe and found the CBox mini window. Its jut a idea so we could all randomly chat with one another.

If it means anything, I second his proposition. Unlike other chars, there is no prerequisite. You just put in your name and chat. Installation of a cbox would greatly reduce stupid "moding help" threads, and people could post quick wtbs there too.

Then what's the point of filling out the IM clients in our profiles?
Also, chat rooms love to hog resources. at www.heresy-online.net, a Warhammer forum that I am active at, they had a chat box. It took way too many resources. Now they use something else, but it's not the same.
Also, you know all the noob(ish) posts that you guys and the mods/admins hate? Imagine the stuff you'll get through there.
It's a good idea, just that in my experience: it's poorly regulated, no matter how much supervision there is.

It is a bad idea for several reasons. The first one has already been stated that it eats up resources. For a forum like FU it works as it gets nowhere near the traffic that NH receives daily.
Secondly, you are just making a massive window that will be spammed to no end by both regular spammers and people that get suspended. NH is (not to slant other forums, but this is true) the primary forum for the NIC, so it receives alot of traffic. The last thing this forum needs is a chat box that is completely full of shit.
Third, relating to forum traffic again, with the number of people that are on here at any time and the massive potential for the cbox to be overwhelmed with disgruntled former users, spammers, and anti-nerfers, you would need an admin to quit his job and forsake his entire life to monitor the cbox 24/7.
Finally, you have PM, AIM and email to chat with each other. Many people have suggested a chat forum like IRC or another dedicated chat location for the users to use. One person even tried it against the best advice that NH had to offer. After a week he abandoned it when, just like we all had said, no one would use it.
