I just got a Crossbow from Splitlip. I was playing with it and changed the coupler to a 1/2 CPVC coupler, but wanted more. I saw a few people who had integrated an AT2K, but nothing that is particularly clean. I wanted the tubing for the AT2K to be internal, and the tank to be in the front part of the shell. I decided to put the pump on the top like Ryan201821 in the "Show off your Crossbow" thread.

Anyway, on to the write-up.

First, you need to clear out your shell. You need to make room for the pump and tank.

Whip out your dremel and sand out all the little nubs and little things in the way that restrict the pump from being inserted. You will need to cut off the screw hole in this location.

Posted Image

Next, dremel out an area for your coupler to fit. The tank will fit fine without modification, but the coupler will have to be a bit external.

Posted Image

Completely cleaned out.

Posted Image

Now, glue in your pump body. I hot glued first, then secured it all down with epoxy putty. This was my first time using epoxy putty, and it's amazing. It worked great.

Posted Image

Posted Image

Now for the unique part, the tubing. I didn't like the idea of having loose tubing ready to snag something, so I put it all inside.

Posted Image

It actually doesn't interfere with the trigger catch or anything. This tubing is not the original AT2K tubing. I don't remember the size, but I got about 5 feet from Home Depot for about $2.

Posted Image

Next, you need to put the tank it. I hot glued it first, then used epoxy putty. You may have to adjust the hole you dremeled out before to get it all to work, but it's well worth it.

Posted Image

Now, tie a piece or wire/string to the firing pin. I also cut the little spring off the firing pin so it wouldn't rattle.

Posted Image

Drill a small hole near the trigger guard. Then feed the wire through it. When it's out, tie a keyring to it. I am temporary using a paper clip formed to a circle, but will replace it when I find a keyring.

Finally, assemble.

Pictures to show it from the outside...

Ranges: No official range tests, but I did go out and shoot it a bit with walking estimations.

Crossbow- 80's. Outliers hit 90, but mostly they are hovering in the mid/low 80's.

AT2K- 60's. Mostly mid 60's. None in the 70's, but rarely in the 50's.

I saw your vid on this and was wondering if it would turn up here or not...
Very clean, as you said yourself. It does need a PJ though, and you seem to be quite good at those.

Yeah, I'm thinking about a orange paint job with blue accents. I will be posting it in the Crossbow thread after it's painted.

Nice clear description.
Though you wrote "tank" once when you meant "pump body" it's still pretty clear from the photos.

BTW, your modded ArrowStorm served me well in one round at EGNO. Not super effective, but it was just plain FUN.

Fixed, thanks.

Great, I'm happy you like it. It really was a fun gun to play with, but I couldn't get it to be accurate because of the operation.

Hehe. I'll show you a bit cleaner. As well as a linked trigger. Good work though. You weren't kidding when you said you were going to mod it. Your barrels definitely look crooked. Not using the bungee?

I could have easily done a linked trigger, but I wanted the option of having both guns primed and ready to go, and the ability to fire them at separate times and with a choice of which to fire. I don't want to have to fire jyst the Crossbow or the AT2K first, I like being able to shoot either separately.

The barrels are not crooked, it's the camera.

I am using the bungie, it's just not pictured.

Thanks again for this Crossbow!!

With a hair trigger on the crossbow, and a linked trigger, you can fire them separately easily. Again, nice job. :D

Yeah, but to get the best range out of the AT2K you need to pull the firing pin fast, making it difficult to control the pull. If you were to use a spring gun it would work great, but it would not work very well with an air gun.

Very clean. Good mod.

My personal preference, i would switch the pump's position with the tank's and vice versa.

I thought about that, but the tank wouldn't have fit in the top cleanly.

Very clean but (not saying it sucks) I would have liked to put the pump under and have the pump tube all the way in like the Magstrike pump then put the barrel on top. Anyway good mod!

That was stated by Norther_of_heaven.

It would not have been as clean. I was going for as clean as possible. Plus, I like having the barrels close to each other, it's easier to aim. I can hold the gun the same to fire both.

Plus, I would not have been able to set up the trigger next to the Crossbow trigger. It would have been up top making it take an extra second or two to take your hand off the handle, then find the ring, then pull.

It's easier this way.

I agree that it's better this way, it's also the way I've done my 1500 integration. You're wrong about the linked trigger though. That's for another post though.

Ok, well my AT2K trigger (firing pin) pull is about 13mm. The trigger pull for my Crossbow is about 10mm. The AT2K could not even be fired very well on the Crossbow trigger let alone have the control to not accidentally fire the Crossbow.

I've never used a SM1500 though, so maybe the firing pin only needs to move like 5mm.
