I did a mod to my big bad bow a while ago, the big bad sexy mod. It worked great for a while, but recently has lost a lot of power. It doesn't shoot nearly as hard as it used to, and the gust of air coming out isn't as much as it used to be. To answer the first couple of questions straight up: No I didn't lube the plunger with anything, and I didn't stretch out the spring. Any ideas? Thanks in advance,

If the gust of air has declined, it may be because there's a leak in the gun somewhere. Make sure everything is where it should be, and nice and tight.

Damn it Foamfoot. Why is it that you kill every good topic with a retarded response a few days late.

This could be, but I kind of doubt it because I can't hear anything rattling around inside and it hasn't lost so much power to the point it can't shoot. It just lost a reasonable amount (20-30 feet).

It needs to be lubed. Or else it can't go through the tube as fast or easy.

My friend had the same problem. Have you had a recent change of darts. Like changing weighting if them? That is why my friends lost a lot of power.

Let's see if I understand your situation correctly...

+ You personally "did a mod" to your BBB at some time in the past.
+ Now, it's not working as well as it was.
+ Rather than even get out a mere screwdriver, you come here first, and start a hypothetical "what if" topic, expecting others to be able to figure out what's going on inside your BBB, despite your not bothering to actually look inside to see for yourself.

...is that about right?

JSB, that's a douche move, funny, but mean. Just tell him that he should open the damn thing, BE BLUNT

ontopic: Yeah just reopen it completely, look then just but it all back together. It might work after that

Just some bob, your a queer. Stop acting all tough and shit on a nerf gun forum and get a life or something..

Upperhand, that's what usually happens with those skirted plunger heads, they stop making a good seal with the plunger after awhile and won't move a lot of air. You see the round center part of the seal where it snaps on the plunger rod? Fold the skirt down and wrap it in electrical tape until its thick enough to help push the skirt onto the plunger tube. Lube it up and she should me back to normal.

Hey 1313...Go screw a cat.

Christ,

I made the mod i might as well throw some bones your way.

When you do open it up be sure too check the base of the barrel where you put all the hot glue, It tends to wobble if not done correctly also, remember that the internals are multiple pieces, the part where the Base of the barrel and the plunger tube meet is not glued together i found that some air escaped through there so make sure that that part is sealed whether it be with epoxy or E-Tape.

I'm pretty intrigued by this, open the thing up and post some pics. At least open it up.
