This mod is very simple, although I doubt many of you will do this because it involves gutting the internals of a perfectly good Longshot or in my case a broken one.
Essentially all you are doing is taking the plunger tube out of a Longshot and squeezing it into a NF.

These are the only parts that you will need.

You will have to use a slightly bigger screw and with a lot of hammer pounding put the (I dont know the official name for it, but its the round end piece that has the O ring around it.) Put a BBB spring in it and screw it all together.

Next you must cut the back 3/4 of an inch off the back of the LS's plunger tube. You will have to cut and bend the plastic inside and out of the NF to make it fit. There's no exact way to do it. Screw it together, and super glue the plunger tube to the NF, this prevents it from sliding out when being fired.

I'm trying to add some stability to almost the entire gun. Its so fragile if you drop it on grass it might come apart.
No official ranges yet, but it shoots much farther than any-other NF I've seen.
And yes the basic AR removal was done to the LS barrel.

That's a cool mod. I might do this since I have a broken longshot.

WAAAAAAAAAHHHH! *Runs off crying*

That poor Longshot... Boohoo....

But no, really, that's really cool. But I'd only suggest it if you broke your LS.

I wonder if this would work with a BBB plunger. I have a broken BBB laying around somewhere.....

Its been done before. Slightly different execution, mind you, but almost identical concept.

EDIT: And it doesn't involve gutting a LS.

That is a really cool idea. But too bad I don't have any fucked up longshots around so I am not using 35 dollars for a LS just to take its plunger tube. But that is really cool. Good job.

I can do this...

Sell the extra parts online.

The best part: The LongShots are less than $5 in GoodWill.

I don't belive this is actually a NF, it is a singled longshot it a nf shell. It is not special.

Seriously. All I ever see you posting is bullshit. Either you're talking shit or just posting senseless babble. Try and contribute something why don't ya.

Yo Nerd. This is a great idea. I haven't seen any before even if it has been done. Its a good execution. Like said before I'd probably not do it unless I had a spare messed up ls. But for those that do this is a good idea to give a shot.
I'd like to see some official ranges.
As to the stablity. you might just epoxy the internals to one side. Unless you think you will have a need for either parts elsewhere in the future.

Fixed.

An extremely minimized LS, I like it. You should take the bolt out and coupler it.

So the catch is strong enough to hold the plunger back? It seems to me that the resistance from the LS spring would be to great for the little NF catch... Very cool though, probably preferable over a large clunky Single-LS. Nice work.

The Nitefinder catch is hella strong. Mine holds back a screen door closer spring with relative ease, and I'm going to test it with a +bow spring soon. He shouldn't have too many issues, and if he does, he can just add a stronger spring to it.
