To keep it from opening all the way, screw a chain to the inside of the box and then to the lid, set it so it is a little past the 90* point.

Yeah, I planned on using picture hanging wire, but a chain could work too. Thanks for the input.

If you were to take the foam insert, and cut it backwards of the way you want it in the box, you would be able to hide the marker lines in the foam.

Lancer looks great!

I actually did cut it backwards, but I didn't cut it quite right, so it I put it in the "correct" way, it looks weird and the gun doesn't slide in as well. I am going to paint that part of the foam anyway, so it isn't a big deal. Thanks for the help though.

Also, cheesypizza001 made this comparison picture a while ago and just sent it to me, so I figured I'd throw it up here since he took the time to make it.

(Lancer comparison picture)

The comparison picture is good, however for it to be complete, it would need to have FA's Lancer pictured in it as well. Unfortunately , I could not find any pictures of it where it was placed completely sideways.

Now all you got to do is give it a black or grey paint job with blue led lights like an ammo box from Gears. :)

Yes. Clearly this box--like everything else in life--could be improved by a coat of flat black and some LEDs.

How are you going to paint it? I thought spray paint ate foam. Maybe if you hand painted it.

Actually, depending on what type of spray paint you use, it won't always eat it. And also, awesome gun!

There is no need to bold/underline/italicize things to make them seen.

Anyway, I will obviously do some test painting on extra foam before I decided what paint/dye to use. I have painted foam before with no trouble.

Oh sorry about that, I was just trying to make my point really obvious.

Game Lancer, his Lancer, Forsaken's Lancer, and El Swifto's Lancer. Nuff said.

Man. Good thing I dont consider myself a dedicated modder of extreme proportions.

Edit- Sorry SGM (again), I was typing this real fast. Whenever I even go outside with a modified gun, some kid walks by and says something like

"DUDE! U MUsT B Lik Sum Kin of Awsum Rockit Scientist or sumthing! How did u git tht gn to shooot thut foor?"
(Translation- Dude, you must be some sort of rocket scientist or something. How did yo get that gun to shoot that far?)

I end up saying- "Little dude, you have no idea what they will do." (Walks away to this thread)

Other than that, I don't think so. (Has no real point other than showing amazement factor)

Groud? What the heck is groud? If you mean Bondo, research it for yourself. I have explained it once or twice in this very thread.

Sorry if I'm necroing a topic where the last post was 16 days ago. I don't know how long since the last post is considered to be too long.

Anyway. I have a few questions.

1. Do the pieces around the mag move, like they do in the game lancer and the official prop lancer?
2. How heavy is the gun?
3. Is it awkward to hold?

Thanks in advance for your help.

I don't think this is technically a necro, especially since you didn't just post "Kewl dude." You could have pm'd me though.

Anyway, 1) No. They don't move at all. That would have been much to complicated to get it up to my standards. It could be done without too awful much trouble, but I would have it to make it just like the game, and that isn't worth it to me.

2) The gun is easily twice as heavy as a stock LS. Probably more.

3) It depends. It is awkward to hold if you hold the chainsaw grip while trying to aim the gun because the hole is pretty small. If you hold it at your side with that grip, it is very comfortable.
