Hey I'm a noob, and I was going to buy some s80 CPVC, but then, I searched and found stuff about how the OMC PETG was a much better fit. and then I found stuff about PVC being less tight? I wanted to know which would be better for the lowes m-d brand FBR. My darts are almost exactly 1/2 inch, using capt. slug's method

It really depends on your foam. I just now found the package my foam came out of and found out that it is m-d. Try using acylic tubing...I tried some redmark gave me and it fits perfect if you straighten in in it.

JSB: Where will you be getting the foam to make those red stefans?

Reverse: Judging by your foam, try out Sch 40 CPVC, but like JSB said, foam from the same brand can be very inconsistent. I once got two packs of Dennis foam from McMaster that reacted to heat very differently and looked quite different, not to mention a big difference in diameter.

I can answer your question TB. FA 24 used to sell red foam that fit OMC's Petg like a glove. He does not sell it anymore.

I am really torn. I use Mile High FBR, bought from Hereticorp. This stuff fits OMC petg perfectly. But I do need to plan in advance, order the foam and the PETG. These things work really well together, and I would reccomend it to anyone. However, if you want to be more spontaneous, you can go with the Home Depot stuff and CPVC. OMC PETG is quite cheap, but so is CPVC. It all depends on wether you will go the extra mile to order the foam/petg. By the way, the foam Hereticorp sells is the best quality stuff I have EVER seen. In the same league as FA foam.

Thanks all. I guess I'll buy some PETG, but I'll always carry some darts around to see if they fit anything in the stores.... (and I read EVERYWHERE that the dennis brand FBR is total crap for consistency...) and I'll try some Hereticorp stuff, but I want to keep the costs down- I'm trying to get Guitar Hero 4 and mod stuff at the same time...

OMC PETG because you can see if you have a dart and it fits stefans and stock darts really well
