I did one belt with a drill press, and decided I would go insane if I continued.

I then found out a strong twist with a pair of needle-nose pliers removes the pegs quickly and painlessly. (good thing, too, because I had 4 more belts to do)

Probably dead by now, or something.

You know what works a lot faster. Get a pair of pliers and just twist them out.

edit- NM AssassNF beat me to it.

Forgive my spelling and grammar. I post from my cell phone a lot. Sometimes when I'm on the can at work.

Did you really have to do this fifteen minutes after I took the pegs out? Anyway, nice job. Maybe someone could make something that slides over 3 belt links and presses the pegs out, manually.

I used a pair of these: (sorry, my image won't upload) They're like a combination of scissors and pliers. All it takes is two snips for each peg to die. Just plain scissors might work too.
Your technique would work well also, except for those without a drill handy.

Why don't you pm him instead of encrusting the forum with your drivel?

In my opinion I think that the best way is just needle nose pliers because they are quick and easy.
