You've never modified a longshot have you?That'd be the smart thing to do.

The "barrel" is purely cosmetic and serves no actual purpose.

If I were you I would replace the barrel with brass and actually open the gun up. I know it sounds tough but I think you can do it. Don't minimize it. It does nothing but loose accuracy and range.That'd be the smart thing to do.

NO IT DOESN'T. Unless you have barrel replacements it does not. I did this and it didn't lose range. Also look at the "Modifying a longshot" thread and look at the note by the carbine.Don't minimize it. It does nothing but loose accuracy and range.

but about the mod, you actually don't have to open up the gun to minimize it because you can cut throught the false barrle and just pull out the remaining piece by hand. that is how I actually do it. But to remove the air restrictors and other shit like that you do indeed need to dismantle the gun.
