How do you cut a half pipe in breeches in brass and PETG? And also, how well does 9/16 brass slide over PETG?

For the lengthwise cut, use a dremel. I use a mitre box for the vertical ones, but you could just use any saw.

As far as I know, it doesn't. 17/32" brass can be twisted into OMC PETG, though, but it sure doesn't slide.

It depends on the PETG, the only PETG that i've seen is when you can nest brass into PETG. If that's what you meant, then sorry, I don't know. But I think that brass fits pretty well into PETG because as i've heard PETG is a very thin barrel material which should be used for "RED foam" or something.

If you're asking how well does 9/16 brass slide over 17/32 brass which is a completely different question, and I don't think you'd make a stupid mistake like that, anyways, it slides easily over (under) each other.

If you mean how do you cut the PVC housing for the actual breech itself then you use a dremel. And 9/16 brass doesn't fit over or under PETG.

17/32nds twists air-tight into thick wall, and slides easily and slightly leak-ily into medium wall. 9/16ths won't go in at all in OMC petg.

EDIT: Without a dremel, hmm? Maybe you could make two long sloping cuts towards the center of your intended hole, remove the V-shaped brass, then somehow get the extra bits out? I've never done it, but it seems plausible.

As MercenaryXero dremel is a very important tool for modders, (I don't own a dremel myself but I have used one before and it is very helpful). I don't really think that you could do that without a dremel unless you are God him self with a hacksaw.

You can cut breeches out of PETG and brass with just basic hand tools, you just have to be really patient. A hobby knife is enough for cutting PETG, as for brass, a fine-tooth saw, files, and really steady hands will do.

As I said, Unless you are really good with a hacksaw this would be nearly impossible. And they look like very clean breechs. One question though, Why not just buy a already made breech?

Agreed. and I, for one, don't have the extra money to buy any. Plus, it's more fun making them.

Please promptly shut the fuck up. A hobby knife will cut OMC Petg. Not much for making half cuts in brass though. A scroll saw maybe, but I'd be surprised if you had that and not a Dremel. Oh yeah, and 5/8" brass slides over OMC Petg; it's not airtight though.

I'm Not saying that I don't take pride in my work at all. I was just saying this member might want to consider buying one if he doesn't have the proper tools or has very good experience with making breeches. Sorry if I said anything crude or retarded.

You can probably make one with a coping saw instead of a dremel. I am making a breech/clip anyway so I will try it out.

It is possible with time and patience to cut a brass breech with a hacksaw. I personally did a full angel breach using only a hacksaw and circular file. The file can be replaced with sand paper if necessary, as its only real purpose is to deburr the pipe after cutting.
