i was just wondering if anybody before me had made a gun that uses an amo clip. I am working on and am almost done with my version of a semi-auto rifle. It uses the zero valve and various other components that allow for about 10 shots per clip. I am making my clips out of pieces of sheet metal that i soddered together. Does anybody know of anywhere that you can get boxes that are about the right shape? This would save me a lot of time and work. I would be glad to share my full design but it mite be kind of hard because i have no way of using computer generated pictures to show what i have done. Thats all for now.

Sounds neat. What exactly is "the right shape" however?

By that he probably means one that can hold stefans one on top of another. I don't know of a better way of getting a clip like that besides making it like you are. Although I would personally make it out of wood since wood is easier to work with.

i guess he's talkin bout a easily bought box that can be substituted to form a clip, and i guess its hard to say because we dont know the barrel size nor the size of the pressurised shells, because this can vary largely.....

any specs??? try contacting a plastics moulderer-a-ma-bob..... they do that work cheap....

Excuse my memory; I can only remember Boltsniper's clip, considering it had direct application. But there have been some offshoots of just basic box clips I can remember... My friend even made a little cardboard one two years ago for his Unknown breech. But for anything spring-powered, and more than a box, I only remember Boltsniper's.

I'm making a little semi-automatic pistol prototype soon, and planned on making the clips out of folded sheet metal (bonded on one side, though probably not with solder), using a basic clock/coil spring to generate the upward motion to move 1/2" CPVC shells into a breech. It's also going to have a little door locking mechanism to ensure shells don't pop out the top unless pushed inwards. I'd draw it up, but I'll be making it in a bit.

Go for the cheap, 30GA sheet metal for ease. You can cannibalize it off a Duct end cover if you're desparate.

As for the coil spring? Cadmond recommended a Dollar Grabber toy, whatever that thing is; I'll be looking for that. Otherwise, you can probably find something at a hardware store. Boltsniper got them from an old Walmart display.

I am planning on using one piece folded over, but i am told that bending metal accurately is hard, but im not sure. i also can't wait for pics of the pistol

When speaking about a swallow, always make sure you know whether it is an African or European swallow. It is very important.

It always makes me laugh that these guys wait up to a year just to do this kind of crap. Do you guys think it's another paintball/airsoft troll, or do you think he's just retarded?

Make sure the top of your gun is parallel to the ground when firing.
Finish those other mods so I have something else to read on here.
Now have a coke and a smile and shut the fuck up. :)
